Be patience, then, brothers and sisters, until the Lord’s coming. (James 5:7)
Having patience is never easy however, on this Holy Saturday the day before Easter we sit and wait for Easter Sunday for we know that when the new day we know the good news of our Risen Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. But let us think back to more than two thousand years ago as all of Jesus’ disciples fear for their own lives they hid for the did not know what a new day would bring to them, would others seek to find them and also try to kill them as they did Jesus. Jesus did tell his disciples what would happen, as we look back into the Gospel of John 16:16-18 “In a little while you will see me no more, and then after a little while you will see me.” At this, some of his disciples said to one another” What does he mean by saying. ‘ In a little while you will see me no more, and then after a little while you will see me, and Because I am going to the Father?” They kept asking, “What does he mean a ‘little while’ We don’t understand what he is saying.”
Jesus was explain that they will grief because of his crucifixion, then their grief will turn to joy when they see him once again. Death could not hold him, for “He Lives” and even thro today we may be upset for the death of our Lord tomorrow our grief will turn to joy, for his tomb will be empty. Praise His Name for Ever and Ever because He Lives we can face tomorrow.
Grace and Peace to you my friends
