A Morning Meditation

Psalm 3.png

God is our refuge and strength,
an ever-present help in trouble.
 Therefore we will not fear, though the earth give way
and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea,
 though its waters roar and foam
and the mountains quake with their surging

 There is a river whose streams make glad the city of God,
the holy place where the Most High dwells.
 God is within her, she will not fall;
God will help her at break of day.
 Nations are in uproar, kingdoms fall;
he lifts his voice, the earth melts.

The Lord Almighty is with us;
the God of Jacob is our fortress.

Come and see what the Lord has done,
the desolations he has brought on the earth.
 He makes wars cease
to the ends of the earth.
He breaks the bow and shatters the spear;
he burns the shields
[d] with fire.
 He says, “Be still, and know that I am God;
I will be exalted among the nations,
I will be exalted in the earth.”

 The Lord Almighty is with us;
the God of Jacob is our fortress.                       (Psalm 46)

Lord as I read these words from the book of Psalm in which King David wrote many chapters, and I think these words sound a lot like what I am going thru and trying to make sense of it all. You Lord are my refuge and strength, especially when I am hurting deep down and I just want to run and hide, hide from all people.  People  who seems to only want to be my personal judge and jury and the ones that for some reason can not find a kind word to share. I know that you Lord understand my pain and the ache in my heart all I seem to do is feel the tears of sadness running down my face. The tears that each night and morning are on my pillow and wondering when will this pain finally go away.  As I read this chapter in Psalm I stubble on verse ten, when you say Be Still and Know that I am God. You are God, Oh Lord, your are the Great I am, the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end. You know me even better than I know myself, and you knew me long before I was in my mother’s womb.

You have search me, Lord and you know me, you know when I sit and when I rise, you perceive my thoughts from afar. You discern my going out and my lying down, you are familiar with all my ways.

Where can I go from your Spirit? Where I can flee from your presence? If I go up to heaven you are there, if I make my bed in the depths you are there, You are everywhere Oh Lord, do not leave me or ever forsake me, for I am your child, your daughter and I forever will Praise Your Name.

Grace and Peace to You My Friends
