The apostles gathered around Jesus and reported to him all they had done and taught. Then, because so many people were coming and going that they did not even have a chance to eat, he said to them. “Come with me by yourselves to a quiet place and get some rest.” So they went away by themselves in a boat to a solitary place.
( Mark 6:30-32)
Have you ever wish this to yourselves, boy I wish that I could run away and hide, hide from everyone so that no one, and I mean no one could ever found you, for at least at little while anyway. For me that is what I have enjoy doing, I drive my youngest child back and forth to school and before it is time to pick her up after school for the day, I get in my car and get to the school at least an hour or more before hand. During this time for me is another alone time just with God, my heavenly father. This allows me to read any devotionals that I do read from the upper room, any books that I am currently reading but also my time in prayer with God. During this time of the day no one and I mean no one can find me during this time. I realize quite sometime ago how bad I truly needed to be alone with God, to share all my concerns, dreams for myself, but also it has force me to learn to listen for the voice of God. I never know how that may happen but somehow it always does, because before I make any major decision I talk it over with my family and more important I talk it over with God.
Listen to Me! Thus you can live in peace and safety, unafraid. Listening to Me is the way of wisdom, I make wisdom available to everyone who is willing to hear me.
But whoever listens to me will live in safety, and be at ease, without fear of harm”
(Proverbs 1:33)
The way to listen to God is for his children to spend alone time with him, not every so often, or when we feel like it, we need to do this each and everyday.
