You, God, are my God, earnestly I seek you; I thirst for you, my whole being longs for you, in a dry and parched land where there is no water. I have seen you in the sanctuary and beheld your power and your glory. Because your love is better than life, my lips will glorify you. I will praise you as long as I live, and in your name I will lift up my hands. I will be fully satisfied as with the richest of foods, with singing lips my mouth will praise you. On my bed I remember you; I think of you through the watches of the night, Because you are my help, I wing in the shadow of your wings. I cling to you; your right hand upholds me. Those who want to kill me will be destroyed; they will go down to the depths of the earth. They will be given over to the sword and become food for jackals. But the king will rejoice in God; all who swear by God will glory in him, while the mouths of liars will be silenced. (Psalm 63)
This chapter of Psalm was written by King David, when he was in the Desert of Judah. However when I myself is grip in pain and in the pit of despair I reach for my Bible to read the book of Psalm in which King David wrote many of the chapters. My soul cries out God why are you, I can’t feel you in my soul at this present time, I am in so much pain from within. As I read the book of Psalm my spirit begins to be lifted once again to the point that I am able to Rejoice in knowing the living God. It is in times like these that my God is closer than my own breathe, and he hears my cries thru the night, and he understands the pain that I am going thru right this very moment. Jesus himself never promise that our days here on earth would be easy, but that once I decided to follow him and accept him as my own personal Lord and Savior, He will never leave or forsake me, and that scriptures brings comfort for my soul.
Grace and Peace to you my Friends
