For all of us at one time of another we seem to have trouble with sleeping thru the night, rather it is because of a dear one who is sick, being worried over bills, or the outcome of any situation, we just cannot sleep peacefully at night. For me when those times have come into my own life, I simply open the word of God and begin to read the following words in order to have a restful night.
In peace I will lie down and sleep for you alone, Lord, make me dwell in safety.
Psalm 4:8
Yes, my soul, find rest in God, my hope comes from him. Truly he is my rock and my salvation, he is my fortress, I will not be shaken. My salvation and my honor depend on God, he is my mighty rock, my refuge. Trust in him at all times, you people; pour out your hearts to him for God is our refuge. Psalm 62:6–8
Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give your rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light. Matthew 11:28-30
He will cover you with feathers, and under his wings you will find refuge, his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart. Psalm 91:1-4
Why, my soul, are you downcast? Why so disturbed within me? Put your hope in God for I will yet praise him, my Savior and my God. Psalm 42:5
Therefore, holy brothers and sisters, who share in the heavenly calling, fix your thoughts on Jesus, the apostle and high priest whom we confess. Hebrews 3:1
Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God, and the peace of God, will surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Jesus Christ.
Philippians 4:6-7
Like an eagle that stirs up its nest, that hovers over its young, He spread His wings and caught them. He carried them on His aloft Deuteronomy 32:11
You are His Beloved. Although you experience many difficulties in your life, he shields you all day long. You cannot imagine what your life would be like if God was not protecting you continually. The adversity he does allow you to experience is ultimately for your good and His Glory. You can rest secure by trusting that God protective Presence is with you always, no matter what trials you may be enduring. You must be clear about one thing above all else: You are most assuredly the one that the Lord loves! In fact, He loves you so much that he carries you through your toughest times. Beloved, you can rest between His shoulders like a lamb tenderly carried by its shepherd.
Sleep well God’s little children
