Through the mountains be shaken and the hills removed, yet God’s unfailing Love for us will never be shaken nor God’s covenant of Peace be removed. Nothing on earth seems as enduring or immovable as huge, majestic mountains. When you stand on their heights–breathing that air, you can almost smell eternity. Yet God’s Love and Peace are even more enduring than the greatest mountain on earth! Think deeply about God’s unfailing love for you. No matter how needy you are or how many times you think you fail God, his supply of Love for you will never run low. Another meaning of unfailing is constant. God does not love us more on days when you perform well, nor does he loves us less when we seem to failed miserably. God’s Love is more persistent, invariable, and steadfast that you can comprehend. Open your heart to received this amazing gift in full measure. My covenant of Peace is a sovereign gift of peace, and it is utterly secure. God can no more withdraw this blessing from you than he could stop being who he is and that is the Great I Am! Moreover God himself is our Peace, so the more intimately you know him, the more you or I can experience his unfathomable Peace. Take time, take the time to draw near to him, seek God and God alone in the moments of your life. Come freely into his presence even when you are feeling bad about yourself. Remember who I am, the Lord who has compassion on you, you are my beloved child.
Through the mountains be shaken and the hills be removed, yet my unfailing love for you will not be shaken nor my covenant of peace be removed, says the Lord, who has compassion on you. ( Isaiah 54:10)
Lift up your eyes to the heavens, look at the earth beneath, the heavens will vanish like smoke, the earth will wear out like a garment and its inhabitants die like flies. But my salvation will last forever, my righteousness will never fail.
