Again, truly I tell you that if two of you on earth agree about anything they ask for, it will be done for them by my Father in heaven. For where two or more gather in my name, there am I with them. Matthew 18:19-20
In the same way, the Spirit helps is in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us through wordless groans. And he who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for God’s people in accordance with the will of God. Romans 8:26-27
Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your request to God. Philippians 4:6
Very early in the morning, while it was still dark, Jesus got up, left the house and went off to a solitary place, where he prayed. Mark 1:35
Thru out the Scriptures we see how important prayer truly is, and yet we as humans seem to lack in, as we continue to journey with the Lord. The great prophets also knew how important it is to prayer, first off to thank God for every kind of blessings he has given to you, and of course your concerns. Yes it is true that God knows everything about of including any concerns that is weighing heavy on our hearts, however what God wants is you and me to have a relationship with us and one way is thru our prayer life everyday. For myself anytime that something or someone is laying heavy on my heart I reach out to my prayer warriors and ask others to pray for the situation. The book of Psalm is filled with many prayers in which some was written by King David himself, and believe me whatever the problem or even joy you may have in your heart the words in the book of Psalm will and can ring true to your own journey.
Just marvel at the wonder of it all being able to have a relationship with the “King of Kings”, the “Great I Am” “Jesus Christ. Do not take this awesome prayer-privilege for granted! Don’t let foolish arrogance step in either, making you act as if you are doing Jesus a favor by spending time talking with him. The best thing is to remember such foolishness is recognizing it and repenting it. Prayer is a two way conversation it is not us doing all of the talking, you need to take the time to “Be Still and Know He is God” (Psalm 46:10) it is true that time of silent we can come to know and understand what God is calling us to do with our own lives and for him. Jesus is our shepherd, tenderly leading you and me step by step through out own lives, which is so wonderful for us to remember. Jesus wants you and me to know how precious we truly are to him, he wants to hear it all, no hiding from anything because believe me he already knows all about each and everyone of us. And when those times come during your prayer time just focus your eyes upon the King and Kings, just spending time with him will bring you the peace your heart longs for.
Grace and Peace to You My Friends
