By wisdom the Lord laid the earth’s foundation, by understanding he set the heavens in place: by his knowledge the watery depths were divided. and the clouds let drop the dew. (Proverbs 3:19-20)
Lift up your eyes and look to the heavens: Who created all these? He who brings out the starry host one by one and calls forth each of them by name. Because of his great power and mighty strength not one of them is missing? (Isaiah 40:26)
Their are many names that people use to call God the one today that I will share with you is “Elohim” the Hebrew name for God. Which means the God who has created the heavens and the earth and more important, He has created you. I recently was reading the book by author Wendy Blight and is called “I known His Name” The scriptures declares that our God is a personal God and a loving and forgiving father. He demands justice, yet extends grace. He is kind and compassionate and allows for free will, but mandates that this free will has consequences when wrongly exercised. However, because of His grace, in the midst of those consequences, God extends mercy and promise to never leave or forsake us. Can you image if everyone in our world would come to know God on a personal level in their own life they would begin to see changes from the inside-out that only God can ever do in any of us. It is not just going to church on a Sunday morning that makes any of us to know God in a personal way, it is searching the scriptures and our own prayer life that we come to know the “Great I Am”
We begin this journey to begin to know who God is, lets read Genesis 1:1-2 In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth, Now the earth was formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters. Try and picture in your mind a big nothing and from that big nothing God began to created the world as we know it today. So during many of my writings I will share with you the different names of God. God is an infinite being without beginning and without an end. (Revelation 21:6, 22:13) But Genesis 1:1 God initiated a work that is measured by time as we understand it. Our God has done great and unsearchable things beyond our comprehension. He brought into existence every natural wonder the eye can see, every twinkling star, every delicate snowflake, every drop of rain, every beautiful cloud, every crisp cool day, everything in its beauty God has created for mankind t enjoy.
Grace and Peace to You My Friends
