In their hearts humans plan their course, but the Lord establishes their steps. (Proverbs 16:9) The words in the book of Proverbs this morning sound so true to me and I am sure to the one who is reading this post at this very moment. How many times that we as human try to map out our future and all the plans we try to make at times never seems to come to past, as we would say at times life seems to get into our way and of course of our plans. Let us look into the book of Isaiah 55:8-9 “For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are you ways my ways,” declares the Lord. As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts. We need to understand that God is the Creator of all things, and he is already there at all of our tomorrows. Even thro you and I don’t understand everything in our lives God does, and even when we make all the plans for our own lives, God ways is always best and he does know what is best for his children. So instead of us getting so frustrated with trying to make any plans let us first go to God in pray and ask his will for our own lives, and believe me in the end of things we will learn that God always knew what was best for us all along.
As the rain and the snow come down rom heaven and do not return to it without watering the earth and making it bud and flourish, so that it yields seed for the sower and bread for the eater, so is my word that goes out from my mouth. It will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it. (Isaiah 55:10-11)
