I will betroth you to me forever; I will betroth you in righteousness and justice, in love and compassion. I will betroth you in faithfulness, and you will acknowledge the Lord.
Hosea 3:19-20
There’s something about a handwritten note that means so much more than even the kindest email or text message. A thank you, an “I love you,” or a note that says, “I’m thinking of you,” when written by hand above your signature, sends a special message to the receiver: “You are worth it.”
You are like the precious pencil in God’s hand. God is sending a love letter to the world and you are that personalized note. He sends you when someone needs love, tenderness, companionship, encouragement, courage, or kindness. Your small stroke of a smile or your willingness to erase other’s mistakes sends an unmistakable message of God’s love. A pencil? Seems small and unimportant and certainly not high-tech, but it is so powerful.
I am a little pencil in the hand writing God who is sending a love letter to the world. (Mother Teresa)
Thro the Scriptures are God’s love letters to all of us, we just need to take the time to read each and everyone of them. God’s love for you is unquenchable. It is even stronger than the bond between a mother and her baby. Through she may forget the baby at her breast, I will not forget you. You are precious to me that I have engraved you on the palms of both My hands. (Isaiah 49:15-16) So forgetting you is out of the question. Not only does God remember you constantly, he also has compassion on you continually.
God wants you to really come to know him, practically, through experience, His love, which far surpasses mere knowledge. The Holy Spirit, who lives in your innermost being, will help in this amorous quest. Ask Him to fill you up completely with His fullness so that you may have the richest measure of the divine Presence of Him, becoming a body wholly filled and flooded with God! Thus you can experience his love in full measure.
Prayer: God, use me to write Your love on the hearts of others today. Amen
Grace and Peace to You My Friends
This is excellent! I love the idea of being an instrument of love in God’s hands. It’s so easy to forget. Thank you for the reminder.
