Who You Say I Am!

Psalm 31.jpg

How abundant are the good things that you have stored up for those who fear you, that you bestow in the sight of all, on those who take refuge in you. In the shelter of your presence you hide them from all human intrigues, you keep them safe in your dwelling from accusing tongues. Praise be to the Lord, for he showed me the wonders of his love when I was in a city under siege. In my alarm I said, I am cut off from your sight! Yet you heard my cry for mercy when I called to you for help. Love the Lord, all his faithful people! The Lord preserves those who are true to him, but the proud he pays back in full. Be strong and take heart, all you who hope in the Lord.                                                                                 Psalm 31:19-24

Be of good courage, and God will strengthen your heart. God wants you to face adversity with confidence and firm determination. Because the Lord is with you and the Holy Spirit lives in you, you have everything you need to be bold. Cowardliness is not of His Kingdom. When you are feeling overwhelmed by your circumstances, remember who you are, a child of the eternal King! Invite the King of King into the very circumstances that are intimidating you, and let the light of his powerful presence strengthen you. When you choose to live courageously, he is pleased. And he is respond by strengthening your heart, thus increasing your valor.

Expect to encounter hardships as you journey towards heaven, because you live in a very broken world. This is why bravery is desperately needed among his followers. You also need hope. The Lord promise to strengthen your heart is for those who hope is in him. Courage and hope are closely connected to His Kingdom. So he urges you to hold on to your courage and your hope. They are more precious than gold.

Always remember that you are a Child of God

  2. Sometimes we forget that if we take on some other identity, we aren’t letting God be in charge of our lives! I am who HE says I am, not who anyone else says!
