Give and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you. Luke 6:38
When God makes you aware of a need, it is because He is inviting you to take part in His supernatural work. His opportunities to give are like train tracks through which He send you blessings. You get on board with Him by doing as He asks, and that creates the path by which you see His provisions and join in His victory.
We see this with David, when he invited the people of Israel to contribute to building the temple. David wanted to experience the overflowing joy of seeing God do a mighty work through them. But first, it would require them to trust the Father more than their own resources and make the sacrifices He directed. If they clung to their possessions instead of to Him, they would miss the blessing.
Likewise, when God calls you to give your resources, you must pour them out as offering and embrace those great assignments out of obedience to Him. Then you will see Him work supernaturally through your gift and supply all that you’re lacking.
