One of God’s Blessings

She is clothed with strength and dignity; she can laugh at the days to come. She speaks with wisdom, and faithful instruction is on her tongue. She watches over the affairs of her household and does not eat the bread of idleness. Her children arise and call her blessed, her husband also, and praises her. Proverbs 31:25-28

Today my little boy turns 22 years old, it is so hard to believe, at least for me. My husband and I adopted Michael when he was two years old. He was abandoned by his mother in a building when he was an infant (it is hard to believe anyone could do that) He was in foster care for almost two years before we knew of him. After the birth of my oldest daughter, we were hoping to have more children, however that was never the case of us. So my husband and I decided to adopted a child, out of foster care because traditional adoption is very expensive for most people. We went through Dave Thomas Foundation, and from the moment I had seen him on my computer I feel in love with this little boy. When I shared all the information I knew with my son around the age of twelve, he and I cried for hours, no one ever knew who his birth father was. It was hard for him to understand why his own birth mother didn’t want anything to do with him.  After a while I shared with him, God knew that you Michael, needed a mom, a dad, and a big sister who would love you forever and He sent us to you. (he was living in another state) As many who knew of my family would say to me, how lucky or bless that Michael was because we adopted him, I immediately correct them, I am the bless one because of all the mother’s in this world God had chosen me to be Michel’s mom, I am so proud of the fine man he has grown up to be.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MY SON.

Grace and Peace to You My Friends
