It’s relatively easy to sing God’s praises when all is going well in our lives, when he blesses us with something we asked for, when he directly answers a prayer. We naturally turn and give Him praise and glory for good things. What about when things aren’t going well? What about in dry times, painful times, or times of waiting?
Do we only praise God for something after He’s given it, or do we praise Him ahead of time in faith, knowing that He will always be good no matter what happens? We should look at all difficulties in life as miracles waiting to happen, chances for God to show His goodness and bring us closer to His heart.
Choose today to have praise readily on your lips instead of complaint. Whenever you feel discontentment or frustration, replace it with praise. By focusing on the goodness of God, the hardships will lessen and your joy will increase.
