Three times I pleaded with the Lord to take it away from me. But he said to me. “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weakness, so that Christ’s power may rest on. That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weakness, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong. 2 Corinthians 12:9-10
These words that the Apostle Paul wrote to the church Corinth about God’s grace His wonderful and amazing grace rings so true at this very moment for me. As many of you my readers have known that last summer my daughter Victoria had a rare tumor (Pheachromocytoma-Theo) remover with her right adrenal gland. However, for Victoria things have become so hard once again with serve pain along with other symptoms. We found out a few weeks ago after another cat-scan of her abdomen that the surgeon left part of that gland inside of her. We are totally shock and truly don’t understand. After many telehealth appointments with her doctors Victoria will have a PET Scan in two weeks.(which is a scan to check for tumors or any kind of cancer cells) Doctors believe she either has another tumor somewhere in her body, or the fact when the original tumor was remove some of the cancer cells were left behind in her body. As her mom yes I have cried out to our Lord more times that I can count, but I do know that God gives me strength to handle things and I know His Amazing Grace will get me through. When Jesus walk the earth long ago He told His disciples that in this world we will have trials, (John 16:33) take heart because He (Christ) has overcome the world.
In the middle of me taking classes as a Pastor and doing work as a Chaplain somehow God has gotten me through it. I am reaching out to each and everyone who will read this post to be in pray for my daughter, and no matter what may happens my we bring glory to the Kingdom of God. And just because I am in ministry doesn’t mean that I am exempt from my own trials because I am not. Pray is a powerful tool that we as Christians use. “For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them.” Matthew 18:20
