In John 16, Jesus prepares his disciples for his departure. He knows that they will be well cared for after he goes because he is sending the Holy Spirit. This is a strange concept for his followers who have clung to his every word and left everything to be near him. He takes time to still their hearts by making sure they know that the Holy Spirit will be there to guide them into all truth.
We are also on the receiving end of the gift. The Holy Spirit is active today, and he leads God’s children into all truth. He is good at his job. He is there to lead you as you lean on him. Ask him today, he will not fail to lead you to truth.
