Generational Wisdom

Remember when you thought your parents knew nothing? They couldn’t relate to your experience, they didn’t know how tough it was to grow up in the environment that you had. And then you got older, and will likely get accused for the same thing. It’s not that generations before us don’t understand what we are going through, it’s that they do understand, and they want to protect us from making the same mistakes and falling into the same difficulties they did.

Make an effort to listen to that older person who is giving you advice about your life. Perhaps there is some simple beauty to what they are saying, it might even be just the thing you need at the right moment. Accept wisdom, and beauty will follow.

Grace and Peace to You My Friends
