The Apostle Paul had a thorn in his side, some infirmity that he wrestled with, so he pleaded for the Lord to rid him of it. That’s when Christ told Paul that His grace, love, kindness, and mercy were all Paul needed to bear through whatever assailed him, if fact, Christ’s power showed itself even more effective in Paul’s weakness!
That response from Christ prompted Paul to write, “But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness. Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weakness, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.. (2 Corinthians12:9)
