Our emotions go up and down, Even within a single day, we may shift from joy to sorrow, from laughter to anger. Emotions are a normal and healthy part of being human, but we don’t need to let them rule our lives. Gratitude can be the steady thread that keeps us tied firmly to the kingdom of God, a reality that never changes. In the midst of each feeling we experience, a sense of thankfulness will keep us from shaking. At times we may struggle to feel thankful, but as we consciously practice our awareness of God’s presence, gratitude will become a habit that holds us steady through all our emotions.
Thanks Eileen! I felt God was reminding me of this recently. Life is so much better and we feel much more contentment when we learn to be thankful in all circumstances. Enjoy your day my friend π€β€οΈ
Such a reassuring message Eileen. William Blake wrote (I am paraphrasing a bit) βJoy and woe are woven fine, a clothing for the soul divine. Under every grief and pine, runs a joy with silken twine. This is right, it should be so. We were made for joy and woe and when this we rightly know, through the world we safely go. β
Thank you Eileen! π

Giving thanks is a good habit for being in the right frame of mind. Doing it out loud is even better. ππ
