LPsalm 143

Let the morning bring me word of your unfailing love, for I have put my trust in you. Shoe me the way I should go, for to you I entrust my life. Psalm 143:8

Find joy in Christ, for he is your strength. It is vital to keep your joy alive, especially when you’re in the throes of adversity. Whenever you are struggle with difficulties, you need to guard your thoughts and spoken words carefully. If you focus too much on all the things that are wrong, you will become increasingly discouraged, and your strength will be sapped. As soon as you realize what is happening, stop this hurtful process immediately. Turn to Jesus, asking him to help you with all your struggles.

Take time to praise Him: Speak or sing words of worship. Read scriptures that help you rejoice in your Savior, Jesus Christ.

Remember that your problems are temporary but He is eternal, and so is your relationship with Him. As you find Joy in Him, delighting in His unfailing love for you, your strength will increase. This is the Joy of the Lord, which is yours for all time and throughout eternity!

Forgiveness . . . Love — Rip-Roar Get High On Life

Colossians 3:12-14 NIV Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. [13] Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you. [14] And over all these virtues put on love, which […]

Perfectly Loved — plantedbylivingwater

“Rest in the Lord, and wait patiently for him.” Psalm 37:7 Resting in His loving arms Like a young child sleeps On Daddy’s shoulder Like a baby rests In his Mommy’s arms, Safe in the shelter Of the strongest boulder. No reason to fear, I’m perfectly loved By my Heavenly Father Watching from above. […]

God Speaks

Hebrews 1

In the past God spoke to our ancestors through the prophets at many times and in various ways, but in these last days he spoken to us by his Son, whom he appointed heir of all things, and through whom also he made the universe.                            Hebrews 1:1-2

Throughout history, God has communicated with humanity in the ways we could understand Him. He taught Adam and Eve as He walked with them in the cool of the day. He addressed Moses through the burning bush and Joseph through dreams. Elijah heard His whisper, while it took a large fish to get through to Jonah.

In these last days, we’ve seen how God communicates through Jesus, who used daily life circumstances to teach important lessons. And now, His Holy Spirit indwells us to lead us to all truth. (John 16:13) But why does the Lord use so many methods? Could it be that the God who knit us together in our mothers’ wombs understands the best way to communicate with us? Of course!

Friends, that’s why you need never be afraid of missing God’s will if you’re in an intimate relationship with Him. The one who created you can overcome any inability you have to hear Him. You can trust the Father to speak and even to move heaven and earth to show you His will. So just be willing to listen.

The End of the Commandment — God’s Maintenance Man

1 Timothy 1:5 5 Now the end of the commandment is charity out of a pure heart, and of a good conscience, and of faith unfeigned: What a mouthful this little verse is. It seems Paul wanted to sum up all of the commandments regarding our relationship to one another with one sentence, and I […]

Ever Present

God is our refuge and strength, an ever present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear, thought the earth give way and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea, through its waters roar and foam and the mountains with their surging.                  Psalm 46:1-3

The Lord is your ever-present help. Many people stumble out of bed in the morning and head straight for the coffee pot. Though they are not yet thinking clearly, they are awake to move toward something that will help unscramble their thoughts. Jesus perform a similar function for you when your mind stumbles in his direction. Ask Him to clear out the confusion so you can communicate deeply with Him. You have this amazing capacity because he created you in His own image.

As you wait in the Lord’s presence, he will not only unscramble your thoughts, He will straighten your path through the day. God is sovereign over every aspect of your life, so opening up the way before you is no problem for Him. Some people assume they don’t have time to begin their day with Him. They don’t realize how much he can facilitate their activities, removing obstacles and giving insights that saves time. When you spend precious moments with the Lord, he compensate you generously: He will clarify your thinking and smooth out the circumstances of your life.

Where Do We Find Our Courage? — Seeking Passionate Prayer in Spiritual Warfare

Life gets tough sometimes, but a favorite verse reminds me that we are to be courageous and not be afraid because God is with us. Let’s put this Scripture in context. Moses had just died and the Lord commissioned Joshua to lead His people. He reminds Joshua of all He promised, and that the Lord would […]
