Hope In The New Year

I remember my affliction and my wandering, the bitterness and the gall. I well remember them, and my soul downcast within me and therefore I have hope; Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumer, for his compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness. I say to myself,

Love must be sincere. Hate what is evil; cling to what is good. Be devoted to one another above yourselves. Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervor, serving the Lord.
