Peter Disown Jesus

After arresting Jesus they led him away to the house of the high priest. And when some there had kindled a fire in the middle of the courtyard and had sat down together, Peter sat down with them. A servant girl saw him seated there in the fire-light. She looked closely at him and said,

Denied

Peter asked, “Lord, why can’t I follow you now? I will lay down my life for you. Then Jesus answered, “Will you really lay down your life for me? Very truly I tell you, before the rooster crows, you will deny me three times!                               John 13:37-38 Wow! these are hard words for Peter to hear
