You Can Not Hide From God

Psalm 139.jpgYou have searched me, Lord and you know me. You know when I sit and when I rise; you perceive my thoughts from afar. You discern my going out and my lying down; you are familiar with all my ways. Before a word is on my tongue you, Lord, know it completely. You hem me in behind and before, and you lay your hand upon me. Such knowledge is too wonderful for me, too lofty for me to attain. Where can I go from your Spirit? Where can I flee from your presence? If I go to the heavens, you are there; if I make my bed in the depths, you are there. If I rise on the wings of the dawn, if I settle on the far side of the sea, even there your hand will guide me, your right hand will hold me fast. If I say, “Surely the darkness will hide me and the light around me,” even the darkness will not be dark to you; the night will shine like the day, for darkness is a light to you. For you created in my inmost being, you knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well. My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place, when I was woven together in the depths of the earth. Your eyes saw my unformed body; all the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be. How precious to me are your thoughts, “God!” How vast is the sum of them! Where I to count them, they would outnumber the grains of sand–when I awake, I am still with you. If only you, God would slay the wicked! Away from me, you who are bloodthirsty! They speak of you with evil intent, your adversaries misuse your name. Do I not hate those who hate you, Lord, and abhor those who are in rebellion against you? I have nothing but hatred for them, I count them my enemies. Search me, God, and know my heart, test me and know my anxious thoughts. See if there is any offensive way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.                                     (Psalm 139:1-24)

These are wonderful words from the book of Psalm, we can read them many times to realize that we can never run away from God. There is no sin so horrible where his love cannot reach us no matter how are we may try. Jesus is Immanuel which means God is with us, and who is an ever present help in times of trouble. No matter what happens, Jesus is sufficient to provide whatever we need. Jesus is my Rock and Redeemer, the one I need no matter who maybe around me. There have been many times in my life where my pain has been so deep from others, however you Lord understand what I am going thru. When others seems to say things that are untrue, your love blankets me, and I know that I am safe from harm with the everlasting love of Jesus. You know me and you know my heart from within, search me to see if there is anything that should not be within me, so that I can continue to keep you closer to my than my own breath. May I Worship the one True God only the “Great I Am” the one whose love is unchanging from day to day.  My Lord it is better one day in your counts than a thousand elsewhere; I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God than dwell in the tents of the wicked. (Psalm 85:10) These words from the book of Psalm as also my words Oh Lord! my prayer is that I continue to walk humbly with my God and My redeemer, now and forever.

Amen

Trials

Galatians 5aConsider it all joy when you encounter various trials. You can consider something a joyful opportunity even when you are feeling quite joyless. Some definitions of “consider” are: to think about seriously: to regard  as to believe after deliberation. You may need to ponder your circumstances at length before you can view them in positive light. You need to give yourself time for your feelings to settle down. It’s hard to think clearly with the high levels of emotions surging through your brain. Once you have calmed down, you will be able to think seriously about your situation. Invite Jesus into the process of deliberation and His presence will improve your perspective helping you see your trials in the light of eternity. As you look at your circumstances from Jesus perspective you come to understand that these multiple problems are testing your faith. As you endure your trials through your life remember to share your trials and problems with others so that you can go to God in prayer and by doing so your burdens feel so much lighter than before.

Searching

Psalm 23-2.pngHe leads me besides quiet waters, He restores my soul, He guides ,me along the right path, for his name sake.                         (Psalm 23:2-3 NIV )                                                           I have been walking a hard road and searching, I fine myself walking along this stream thinking of the pain I have been enduring. My soul cries out to you Lord, for I need some rest.  Lord you tell me to come to you, with all the difficulties that are weighing me down. Even through there seems to be no relief in sight, my troubles are actually light and momentary–from an eternal perspective. My problems seem so heavy because I have given them too much power. Each time I focus on them and forget all about you Lord, forgive me. I just need to lay them all down at the cross, and remember to cast all my burdens on you,

Our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all                                                               (2 Corinthians 4:17)

Trust in him at all times. O people, pour out your hearts to him, for God is our refuge.

I AM THE LIGHT OF THE WORLD

I am the Light.pngWhen Jesus spoke again to the people he said “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.” (John 8:12)

Do you ever wonder exactly what God wants you to do, especially when you have so many options and demands to manager? By being in God’s word and allowing it to drench your very soul, we do walk with Jesus in the light. As we look around this world right we are, we can see the pain of hurt, despair, disappointment in someone eyes as well as reading it on someone’s face. You can be the very light in which Jesus’ talks about, and the ways are sharing your own faith with someone. Telling someone how much Jesus loves them with no strings attach. How about listening to another person, sometimes that is all that they want from someone else to hear the pain or perhaps the disappointment they are feeling.  When you see someone all by themselves away from everyone else go up to them and start a simply conversation, and be a friend to them, sometimes that is all they need, and by doing so you are also bless. God places people in our own lives for a reason, sometimes it maybe a day, a week, a season in our own lives, however God always has a plan for our lives. Although we all have the very long to do list of things we seem we have to get done, don’t allow special moments of people in your life to slip by. When God allows us to be the light with him in this very dark world don’t fret over a to do list, just allow His Spirit to guide you in your journey.

The Pharisees challenged Jesus. Here you are, appearing as your own witness, your testimony is not valid. Jesus answered, “Even if I testify on my own behalf, my testimony is valid, for I know where I came from and where I am going. But you have no idea where I come from or where I am going.  You judge by human standards, I pass judgement on no one.                               (John 8: 13-15)

You can come to Jesus just the way you are, you don’t need to clean up your act, like some may say to you. He is not judging you or me of our pass sins, so just come towards the light, to the one who is the Light of this World.

Peter Disown Jesus

Peter denying Jesus.pngAfter arresting Jesus they led him away to the house of the high priest. And when some there had kindled a fire in the middle of the courtyard and had sat down together, Peter sat down with them. A servant girl saw him seated there in the fire-light. She looked closely at him and said, “This man was with him.” But he denied it. “Woman I don’t know him, he said.” A little later someone else saw him and said, “You also are one of them.” “Moan I am not!” Peter replied. About an hour later another asserted, “Certainly this fellow was with him, for he is a Galilean.” Peter replied, “Man, I don’t know what you’re talking about!” Just as he was speaking, the rooster crowed. The Lord turned and looked straight at Peter. Then Peter remember the word the Lord had spoken to him. “Before the rooster crows today, you will disown me three times.” And he went outside and wept bitterly.

Peter is a lot like me and he is a lot like you. How many times do we as Christians have the opportunity to share our own faith and we choose not to. Even when someone ask you, hey I saw you going to church last week, you make some kind of an excuse of why you were there. Every time that we choose not to speak up as a Christian or even show love to another human being, aren’t we choosing to deny Jesus. Many times people will say I don’t know what to say, believe me when I tell you when the opportunity comes your way and it will, the Spirit will give you all what you need to say to someone else, all we need to be is just believe and have the faith. Have you ever invited your neighbor, friend or a co-worker to church with you, if your answer is no, my question to you is what are you waiting for. We all are able to plant in the heart of another seeds of God’s love don’t worry the rest is in God’s hands, maybe they will believe what you are saying or maybe they won’t but don’t give up. Continue to be in prayer for another and watch God at work overtime, His will be done.
