Hope

Hebrews 6.png

We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure. It enters the inner sanctuary behind the curtain, where Jesus, who went before us, have entered on our behalf. He has become a high priest forever.
Hebrews 6:19
Jesus is our Risen Savior! Through his resurrection you and I have been born again to an ever-living hope. It is vital for you to remain hopeful, no matter what is going on in your life. People put their hope in a variety of things, wealth, power, health, medical treatments, but these are all insufficient. When storms break upon your life, you can find only one adequate source of help which is Christ. The hope that he provides is an anchor for your soul, firm and secure even in the most tempestuous waters. A good way to remain anchored in him is to whisper as often as needed “Jesus”. You are my Hope. This affirmation strengthens you and keeps you connected to him. There are no limits to what Jesus great power and glory can accomplish. He can change the most hopeless situation into outright victory. Moreover, as you affirm your trust in him no matter how difficult your circumstances. Jesus is able to transform you gradually, lovingly. Those who hope in Christ will not be disappointed.

Put Your Hope In God

Isaiah 49.png We have this hope is an anchor for the soul, firm and secure. it enters the inner sanctuary behind the curtain, where Jesus, who went before us, has entered on our behalf. He has become a high priest forever.                    Hebrews 6:19

Jesus Christ is our Risen Lord and Savior. Through his resurrection we have been born again to an ever-lasting hope. It is vital for you to remain hopeful, no matter what is going on in your life. People put their hope in a variety of things such as wealth, power, health, medical treatments, but these are all insufficient. When storms break upon your life, you can find only one adequate source of help-which is Christ! The hope that he can provide is an anchor for our soul, firm and secure even in the most tempestuous waters. A good way to remain anchored in him is to whisper as often as needed. “Jesus, You are my Hope” This affirmation strengthens you and keeps you connected to him.

We need to stay connected in scriptures and in our own prayer life to continue to journey daily with Christ. There is no limits of what he can do for us and his is constantly working on our behalf to draw us closer to him. He is able to transform us all gradually, lovingly. As we read in the book of Isaiah 49:23b Then you will know that I am the Lord, those who hope in me will not be disappointed.

Praised honored, blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ the Messiah! By His boundless mercy we have been born again to an ever-living hope, through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.                           1 Peter 1:3

John The Baptist Birth Foretold

Luke 1.pngIn the time of Herod king of Judea there was a priest named Zechariah, who belonged to the priestly division of Abijah; his wife Elizabeth was also a descendant of Aaron. Both of them were righteous in the sight of God, observing all the Lord’s commands and decrees blamelessly. Elizabeth was not able to conceive, and they were both very old. Once when Zechariah’s  division was on duty and he was serving as priest before God, he was chosen by lot, according to the custom of the priesthood, to go into the temple of the Lord and burn incense. And when the time for the burning of incense came, all the assembled worshippers were praying outside. Then an angel of the Lord appeared to him, standing at the right side of the altar of incense. When Zechariah saw him, he was startled and was gripped with fear. But the angel said to him, “Do not ne afraid, Zechariah; your prayer has been heard. Your wife Elizabeth will bear you a son, and you are to call him John. He will be a joy and delight to you, and many will rejoice because of his birth, for he will be great in the sight of the Lord. He is never to take wine or other fermented drink, and he will be filled with the Holy Spirit even before he is born. He will bring back many of the people of Israel to the Lord their God. And he will go before the Lord, in the spirit and power of Elijah, to turn the hearts of their parents to their children and the disobedient to the wisdom of the righteous to make ready a people prepared for the Lord. Zechariah asked the angel, How can I be sure of this? I am an old man and my wife is well along in years. The angel said to him, “I am Gabriel. I stand in the presence of God, and I have been sent to speak to you and to tell you this good news. And now you will be silent and not be able to speak until the day this happens, because you did not believe my words, which will come true at their appointed time.               Luke 1:5-20

In Biblical times it was a disappointed for a woman not to have her own children and for others to look down upon Elizabeth because she was barred. However, little did they know of or anyone else know the plan that was in place by God. The child that was to be born to Elizabeth and Zechariah called John was to be the one chosen to prepared God’s people for the coming of the Lord Jesus Christ. Even through they had no children they never doubt that somehow or someway that God would bless them, and that God was the one true God, “The Great I Am” that was told by Moses, and by other prophets. Can you even try to imagine the joy that was in Elizabeth’s heart when she came to realize that she was with child even pass the child bearing years. Jesus’ own words to his disciples later in his life would be, “With man this is impossible, but not with God, all things are possible with God.” (Mark 10:27)  Because regardless of your situation in your life right now at this very moment, all things are possible with God.

“THE GREAT I AM”

God.pngNow Moses was tending the flock of Jethro his father-in-law, the priest of Midian, and he led the flock to the far side of the wildness and came to Horeb, the mountain of God. There the angel of the Lord appeared to him in the flames of fire within a bush. Moses saw that though the bush was on fire it did not burn up. So Moses thought, I will go over and see this strange sight why the bush does not burn up. When the Lord saw that he had gone over to look, God called to him within the bush, “Moses!” Moses!. (Exodus 3:1-4)

God had a job for Moses to do and of course like most of us even today think that there is no way able to do it. In Moses case here is what he tells God, “Suppose I go to the Israelites and say to them,” The God of your fathers has sent me to you, and they ask me, “What is his name? Then what shall I tell them? God said to Moses, “I AM WHO I AM”. This is what you are to say to the Israelites, “I AM” has sent me to you.” God also said to Moses. Say to the Israelites, The Lord, the God of your fathers-the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac and the God of Jacob has sent me to you. “This is my name forever, the name you shall call me from generation to generation.                     (Exodus 3:13-15)

Even today many still call God “The Great I Am”, The Great Physician, The Great Healer, and so much more to so many. The Apostle Paul suffer very deeply for the gospel, and we do at times experience seemingly unbearable trials. Suffering is not new to God’s people. It has always been a part of God’s story. But we must never forget that no matter how great or small, short or enduring, the strain of suffering, it will never even separate us from the “I AM” or “El-Roi. In fact, when seen through the lens of God’s truth and His character, suffering actually moves us closer to the heart of God. It has divine purpose. Our suffering works in and through us to conform us to the image of God’s Son Jesus Christ and make us more like Him.

Insomnia

Psalm 4.jpgFor all of us at one time of another we seem to have trouble with sleeping thru the night, rather it is because of a dear one who is sick, being worried over bills, or the outcome of any situation, we just cannot sleep peacefully at night. For me when those times have come into my own life, I simply open the word of God and begin to read the following words in order to have a restful night.

In peace I will lie down and sleep for you alone, Lord, make me dwell in safety.

Psalm 4:8

Yes, my soul, find rest in God, my hope comes from him. Truly he is my rock and my salvation, he is my fortress, I will not be shaken. My salvation and my honor depend on God, he is my mighty rock, my refuge. Trust in him at all times, you people; pour out your hearts to him for God is our refuge.                      Psalm 62:6–8

Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give your rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.       Matthew 11:28-30

He will cover you with feathers, and under his wings you will find refuge, his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart.                          Psalm 91:1-4

Why, my soul, are you downcast? Why so disturbed within me? Put your hope in God for I will yet praise him, my Savior and my God.                                         Psalm 42:5

Therefore, holy brothers and sisters, who share in the heavenly calling, fix your thoughts on Jesus, the apostle and high priest whom we confess.         Hebrews 3:1

Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God, and the peace of God, will surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Jesus Christ.

Philippians 4:6-7

Like an eagle that stirs up its nest, that hovers over its young, He spread His wings and caught them. He carried them on His aloft                        Deuteronomy 32:11

You are His Beloved. Although you experience many difficulties in your life, he shields you all day long. You cannot imagine what your life would be like if God was not protecting you continually. The adversity he does allow you to experience is ultimately for your good and His Glory. You can rest secure by trusting that God protective Presence is with you always, no matter what trials you may be enduring. You must be clear about one thing above all else: You are most assuredly the one that the Lord loves! In fact, He loves you so much that he carries  you through your toughest times. Beloved, you can rest between His shoulders like a lamb tenderly carried by its shepherd.

Sleep well God’s little children
