Being The Hands & Feet of Christ

Matthew 25.pngThe words of Jesus taken from the Gospel of Matthew 25:35-40 For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in. I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me. Then the righteous will answer him, Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you? The King will reply, “Truly I tell you, whatever you did fro one of the least of these brother and sisters of mine, you did for me.”

For the last many weeks we have seen so much horrible things happen on the news each day, from hurricanes, wildfire, earthquake, and even deadly shootings and many will say where is God when we need him? Take a good look around my friends and you can see him everywhere. After any tragedy that we see around us we can also see many people being the hands and feet of Christ, during and after hurricanes and even today you still can see many people helping the ones that are in need, neighbors helping neighbors, and even strangers helping someone they do not even know. After the earthquake we can also see the same others thinking of someone else long before they think of themselves. During the shooting in Las Vegas we have heard so many different stories of strangers coming to the aide of someone they don’t even know and even some sacrificing their own lives to save another and through this horrible acts of one man you can see the love of Christ pouring out among one another. Strangers standing in line to give blood, others handing food out to those same people as they wait.  When any of us see someone in need we are called to act to help someone else. Christ lives in each of us and when we become the hands and feet of Christ we become more like him in many ways. There are so many ways if we just think for a moment we are able to help someone such as helping at your food pantry, giving the clothes you no longer want or need to a complete stranger, many places during the cold months have a coat drive, or collect hats and gloves for children. At Christmas time the Marines do a drive called Toys for Tots, donate food to a church during the holidays and anytime through out the year. What about a animal shelter God wants us to also help his animals by giving anyway we possible can. How about visiting a neighbor who may live alone, or a nursing home where many residents never get any visitor. God gives us many ways for us to become his hands and feet by doing his work here on earth. And thru it all just a simple hug to another who is hurting so deeply is something they really need at that time. In the book of Romans 12:13 the Apostle Paul tells us Share with the Lord’s people who are in need . Practice hospitality.

Who’s Your Dad?

Hebrews 10.pngThe Apostle Paul wrote in the book of Hebrews 10:32-37  Remember those earlier days after you had received the light, when you endured in a great conflict full of suffering. Sometimes you were publicly exposed to insult and persecution; at other times you stood side by side with those who were so treated. you suffered along with those in prison and joyfully accepted the confiscation of your property, because you knew that you yourselves had better and lasting possessions. So do not throw away your confidence, it will be richly rewarded. You need to perseveres so that when you have done the will of God, you will receive what he has promised. For, in just a little while, he who is coming will come and will not delay.

I know as a Christian woman things never seems easy for us and at times we may say is it all worth it in the end! The way others judge us make fun of our live style not knowing at all who is our daddy. I am not saying the man who gave you life along with your mom and of course with the help of God, I am asking you who is your daddy? Why is it then that the ones of this world seem to have less of heartaches at times than people who is of the Christian faith? Let me tell you this, that you and I are in great company with the believers who went before us, their were the apostles, who all died for their beliefs with serving Christ, and even other believers of today, and even Jesus himself was persecuted because he love us all and he was a man without sin.  People around the world go to great lengths to make sure more will hear about the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Who is this man call the Christ let me tell you, He is the Alpha and Omega, the First and the Last. He is and always will be, the Great I Am.  Jesus is the Bread of Life, The Light of the World, He is the Gate to keep true harm away. He is the Good Shepherd, The Resurrection and the Life, He is the Way and the Truth and the Life, Jesus is the True Vine. He is the Creator of us all, He is Holy Trinity, Father, Son and Holy Spirit entwine into one. Jesus took our pain on the cross, and bore our suffering. Pierced for our iniquities, and by his stripes, and I am saying the whipping he took upon his back that broke his flesh for all of mankind. He was led like a lamb to be slaughter and he remind silent by oppression and judgement he was taken away. You need to understand this our world can’t understand him, armies can’t defeat him and death could not hold him. Even in the world of today the schools can’t explain to our children who this “Great I Am” is. The leaders of today, they can try to ignore him but somehow it will creep in once again who this Christ truly is. No matter what anyone could try to even do, you could never and I mean NEVER erase the name of Jesus Christ, for everyone the world thinks could destroy their will be at least one hundred more to continue to tell others the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

As for me I will continue to preach the words of Christ for all to hear: Never will he leave me and Never will he forsake me, when I am depress and feeling lonely his is my comforter, when my pain overwhelms me at times he will help carry my burdens, and he will walk by myside in my journey of life. His love never fails and no sins that I commit or any of my tomorrows will he stop loving me, when I call on His name, their is never a busy signal and he always answer me. Jesus is Yahweh, I Am that I Am, Jehovah, Immanuel, Jesus the Christ, Supreme Being, Creator, Elohim, King of Kings, Lord of Lords, El Roi, the One who sees You, Jehovah Nissi, the One Who Stands Guard Over You, Jehovah Shalom: The One Who Gives you Peace. All consuming fire: The God who is jealous for you. El Elyon: The One Who is the God Most High:, He is my Abba, Father! my daddy. There is nothing that can ever separate me from his love not death, nor life, either angles, nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creations will be able to separate me from the love I have in my Dad! “The Great I Am” He was and is to come into all of creations, and my love for him will never cease in this life or the life I will have in all of eternity when I see him face to face.

So who is Your Dad?

Act of Kindness

Colossians 3.jpgTherefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive them as the Lord forgave you.                                           Colossians 3:12-13

I have preach more than once on these words from the book of Colossians that the Apostle Paul wrote while he was in prison in Rome. I had share with everyone who was in attendance, if each and everyone of us can simply do an act of kindness to someone else without expecting any form of payment or anything in return would you do it. Things like the next time you are in line say at a dunkin donuts, buy the person behind you a cup of coffee, especially at the drive thru, they don’t have the chance to say thank you (which is okay).  How about at the car wash leave enough money in the machine to allow the next person to wash there car. When you are in the food market and you see a young mother or father with a fussing child go and offer to help them in someway, and just smile in return when you are going your way. Once on my way to another church to serve there I stop for gas, then went inside to grab a cup of tea ( I enjoy tea), I started talking with a woman who works two full time jobs to keep up being a single mom, as she was in line behind me to pay, when I went up to pay for my tea, I mention to the cashier by the way how much does the woman behind me owe for her items, he told me, I said okay and I paid it for her, I never look back to say a word I just went back to my car Praising God for allowing me to show someone a act of kindness. More than a week ago as I was crossing a bridge to go into another state from the state I was in, you needed to pay a toll to cross over the bridge and so as I get up to the woman and tried to pay for myself she inform me no need for the car in front of you has paid your bill, and so I decided to do the same for the car in behind me. That little act of kindness set off a chain reaction that day, and while I was driving to where I needed to be the person in which I paid for pass me by and everyone said Thank You. Someone else has also paid the price for all of us because we are sinners, and our sin has separated us from God, and that person is Jesus Christ whose kindness and love paid the price for us all. Do one act of kindness to a complete stranger today, you will see the world in a whole new light, and well as saying thank you to Jesus our Lord and Savior who paid the price for all of our sins on the cross.

Wisdom and Understanding

Colossians 2.jpg Paul who was a follower of Jesus Christ was in Roman prison when he wrote to the church in Colossae. False teachers were coaching the Colossians to worship angles and follow special rules and ceremonies. Paul corrected this thinking through his letter, stressing that faith in Christ is sufficient for salvation and that nothing needs to be added to Christ’s sacrifice on the cross. All the treasures of wisdom and knowledge are hidden in Jesus. So he is relevant to absolutely everything! The world is such a fragmented place, with many voices calling out to all of us-claiming to have the answers, When we are learning or experiencing new things, it is vital to stay in communication with God. He can help us understand things from His perspective, drawing on His wisdom. He wants all of us to examine everything in the Light of biblical truth. If you and I keep Jesus central to our thoughts, we can discern order and design in a chaotic world. There will continue to be things any of us can comprehend, because we live in a broken world. Acknowledging the limits of our understanding opens the way to profound worship. This will encourage our hearts, as well as the hearts of our fellow worshippers, to worship Jesus and Jesus only. To worship Jesus our hearts must be united in love, woven into a beautiful love-tapestry. As we worship, this united, we can enjoy His majestic presence together in ways that transcend our individual experience. This enables us to venture further and further into Jesus vast hidden treasures of wisdom and knowledge.
