You Can Go Home!

Luke 15.png

In the Gospel of Luke Jesus talks to his disciples about the Parable of the Lost Son: read these words of Jesus: There was a man who had two sons. The younger one said to his father, Father give me my share of the estate. So he divided his property between them. Not long after that, the younger son got together all he had, set off for a distant country and there squandered his wealth in wild living. After he had spent everything, there was a severe famine in that whole country, and he began to be in need. So he went and hired himself out to a citizen of that country, who sent him to his fields to feed pigs. He longed to fill his stomach with the pods that the pigs were eating, but no one gave him anything. When he came to his senses, he said, How many of my father’s hired servants have food to spare, and here I am starving to death. I will set out and go back to my father and say to him. Father, I have sinned against heaven and against you. I am no longer worthy to be called your son; make me like one of your hired servants. So he got up and went to his father. But while he was still a long way off, his father saw him and was filled with compassion for him, he ran to his son, threw his arms around him and kissed him.

                                                                                  Luke 15:11-20

We might as well say it again, that it is never easy to get up and tackle the journey back to the Father’s house. People will make it difficult for you. Like the Prodigal Son, church-goers and others will make you feel unwelcome. there will be those who will remind you of your sinfulness. Even a preacher may say hurtful things at times. But one thing is certain: you don’t ever have to doubt the Father’s warm welcome. So carry on walking and head straight home back to God.

And so we see the lost son coming over the last hill, heart pounding. Only one refrain repeats itself: I’m going home! Then he reaches the last rise, and there he see the father’s house in all its glory. He is crying unashamedly now. And then, is it possible? he sees his father, and his is coming to meet him! Do you know that the last rise in the road? Golgotha! That’s what they call that hill. “The Father is coming to meet me,” you say. “But I see a cross standing there. “For God so loved the world that He gave His only Son, so that every one who believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life.” (John 3:16)

“And while he was still a long way off, his father saw him coming. Filled with love and compassion, he ran to his son, embraced him and kissed him.” (Luke 15:20) Come, let us kneel before the Father in amazement. Let us thank God for the wonder of being able to go home. For there is nothing my friend that can ever separate you from the love of God through Jesus Christ the son, so hold you head high ever through we are sinners you and I are sons and daughter of the Most High King Jesus Christ, welcome home!

Dear Lord Jesus

Thank you for always welcoming us home to you with such love and compassion and with open arms. In spite of the many sins we have done you never stop loving your children.

Amen

God’s Garden

John15.png   I am the true vine, and my Father is the gardener. He cuts off every branch in me that bears no fruit, while every branch that does bear fruit he prunes so that it will be even more fruitful.                                                    John 15:1-2

There are people who say that gardening brings you into close contact with nature, I do agree since I have enjoy doing it. It also enhances your property, provides flowers for the house and food for the table. In spite of being hard work, it gives great joy to those who do it.

People in Israel were familiar with the gardener who looked after the vineyard and harvested the grapes. The role of the gardener and of the shepherd, the farmer and the judge was a reference to God. The gardener was in control of the vineyard and the vines were his pride and joy. Christ was God’s vine and thus theFather”  was the owner of the vineyard and the primary agent in taking care of the vineyard and yielding a crop. The small and insignificant Christian community who follow Jesus’ teaching, soon realized that God, the owner of the vineyard had planted a new vine and that these branches were now given preference over the old vine, Israel. In reaching his goal, God was in control of his “garden”, like any hardworking gardener or farmer, he did everything possible to ensure a good and abundant harvest.

Take note that, above the buzz and din of the world’s business God is still there and at work, looking for ways to motivate His missionaries so that He may be sure of a good and fertile crop. Sometimes He plants more vines and patiently carries on working until the first fruit is seen and He can gather the harvest that he has been waiting for. Always look around and see his wonderful handy work he has already done.

Who’s Your Dad?

Hebrews 10.pngThe Apostle Paul wrote in the book of Hebrews 10:32-37  Remember those earlier days after you had received the light, when you endured in a great conflict full of suffering. Sometimes you were publicly exposed to insult and persecution; at other times you stood side by side with those who were so treated. you suffered along with those in prison and joyfully accepted the confiscation of your property, because you knew that you yourselves had better and lasting possessions. So do not throw away your confidence, it will be richly rewarded. You need to perseveres so that when you have done the will of God, you will receive what he has promised. For, in just a little while, he who is coming will come and will not delay.

I know as a Christian woman things never seems easy for us and at times we may say is it all worth it in the end! The way others judge us make fun of our live style not knowing at all who is our daddy. I am not saying the man who gave you life along with your mom and of course with the help of God, I am asking you who is your daddy? Why is it then that the ones of this world seem to have less of heartaches at times than people who is of the Christian faith? Let me tell you this, that you and I are in great company with the believers who went before us, their were the apostles, who all died for their beliefs with serving Christ, and even other believers of today, and even Jesus himself was persecuted because he love us all and he was a man without sin.  People around the world go to great lengths to make sure more will hear about the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Who is this man call the Christ let me tell you, He is the Alpha and Omega, the First and the Last. He is and always will be, the Great I Am.  Jesus is the Bread of Life, The Light of the World, He is the Gate to keep true harm away. He is the Good Shepherd, The Resurrection and the Life, He is the Way and the Truth and the Life, Jesus is the True Vine. He is the Creator of us all, He is Holy Trinity, Father, Son and Holy Spirit entwine into one. Jesus took our pain on the cross, and bore our suffering. Pierced for our iniquities, and by his stripes, and I am saying the whipping he took upon his back that broke his flesh for all of mankind. He was led like a lamb to be slaughter and he remind silent by oppression and judgement he was taken away. You need to understand this our world can’t understand him, armies can’t defeat him and death could not hold him. Even in the world of today the schools can’t explain to our children who this “Great I Am” is. The leaders of today, they can try to ignore him but somehow it will creep in once again who this Christ truly is. No matter what anyone could try to even do, you could never and I mean NEVER erase the name of Jesus Christ, for everyone the world thinks could destroy their will be at least one hundred more to continue to tell others the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

As for me I will continue to preach the words of Christ for all to hear: Never will he leave me and Never will he forsake me, when I am depress and feeling lonely his is my comforter, when my pain overwhelms me at times he will help carry my burdens, and he will walk by myside in my journey of life. His love never fails and no sins that I commit or any of my tomorrows will he stop loving me, when I call on His name, their is never a busy signal and he always answer me. Jesus is Yahweh, I Am that I Am, Jehovah, Immanuel, Jesus the Christ, Supreme Being, Creator, Elohim, King of Kings, Lord of Lords, El Roi, the One who sees You, Jehovah Nissi, the One Who Stands Guard Over You, Jehovah Shalom: The One Who Gives you Peace. All consuming fire: The God who is jealous for you. El Elyon: The One Who is the God Most High:, He is my Abba, Father! my daddy. There is nothing that can ever separate me from his love not death, nor life, either angles, nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creations will be able to separate me from the love I have in my Dad! “The Great I Am” He was and is to come into all of creations, and my love for him will never cease in this life or the life I will have in all of eternity when I see him face to face.

So who is Your Dad?
