Another Jewel In Heaven (Guess Blogger)

I Like to introduce to all of you Jennifer Wagner:  Today, I am a stay at home wife, dividing my time between taking care of our home, directing church outreach, and blogging about life lessons, joyful living, and Christian values. When I’m not writing, I am typically curled up with my husband, binge watching Netflix, drinking caramel coffee, or snuggling our two cats, Basil and Mocha Rose! Welcome to our married life! We’re so glad you have chosen to join us as we laugh and cry together in this amazing life adventure!

After the loss of our sweet babies in April, J and I were hopeful to try again. After just a few months, we were excited that our dream may be coming true. The cravings and mood swings were in full force. I was sleepy, nauseous, hungry, hormonal, bloated, and I had to pee about every two hours. It seemed like a wonderfully miserable time.

And then the bleeding started. We were bummed, but thought we’d just wait another month… Until the night I called J into the bathroom. The pain, blood, and contractions were clear. We had also lost this sweet baby. The loss of this child was such a shock. After all, we weren’t quite sure yet if I was even pregnant.

This baby was supposed to be our rainbow baby, but yet we’ve collected another jewel in Heaven. Lucy Grace, Arden Micah, and Orion Sage. Three….. three babies in Heaven. Our little family.

It’s been just over a week since the loss of our child. The raw emptiness still takes my breath away, as I sob and gasp for air. J still holds me as I drift off into space, not really knowing what to do with myself. Getting out of bed, eating, and connecting with people have become chores in and of themselves. J and I go through the motions. We laugh and talk, work and visit, but inside we both feel numb, empty… like something crucial is missing. We’ve lost our joy. We’ve lost our confidence and security. We’ve lost the excitement of trying to have a family.

Our first miscarriage four months ago broke our hearts. This time, it carries fear and doubt, alongside the pain and shock. Do we dare try again? How can we continue to hope, after this?

After a rough week of falling away from each other in our grief, it became clear that now more than ever, we need to lean on our Savior and each other… And so we talked. We held each other, as poured our hearts out to the Lord and to each other. We named our child, Lucy Grace. We went on a spontaneous date. We came together and asked the Lord for help. It’s still fresh and raw. I still don’t know what to do with myself. I still fell numb and broken and empty and vulnerable. I still break out in sobbing tears. My hormones and baby belly are still reminders of what was. But through it all, the Lord is putting us back together again…

15 Scriptures to lean on after miscarriage, when the grief seems unbearable and all seems gone…

  1. 1 Samuel 1:27-28
I prayed for this child, and the Lord has granted me what I asked of Him. So now I give him to the Lord. For his whole life he will be given over to the Lord.” And he worshiped the Lord there.
  2. Job 11:13-19
Yet if you devote your heart to Him and stretch out your hands to Him, if you put away the sin that is in your hand and allow no evil to dwell in your tent, then, free of fault, you will lift up your face; you will stand firm and without fear. You will surely forget your trouble, recalling it only as waters gone by. Life will be brighter than noonday, and darkness will become like morning. You will be secure, because there is hope; you will look about you and take your rest in safety. You will lie down, with no one to make you afraid, and many will court your favor.
  3. Jeremiah 29:11-12
For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call on Me and come and pray to Me, and I will listen to you.
  4. Romans 12:12
Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer.
  5. Exodus 23:25-26
Worship the Lord your God, and His blessing will be on your food and water. I will take away sickness from among you, and none will miscarry or be barren in your land. I will give you a full life span.
  6. Judges 13:2-3, 24
A certain man of Zorah, named Manoah, from the clan of the Danites, had a wife who was childless, unable to give birth. The angel of the Lord appeared to her and said, “You are barren and childless, but you are going to become pregnant and give birth to a son. … The woman gave birth to a boy and named him Samson. He grew and the Lord blessed him.
  7. Matthew 5:4
Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted.
  8. Genesis 8:11-14
Abraham and Sarah were already very old, and Sarah was past the age of childbearing. So Sarah laughed to herself as she thought, “After I am worn out and my lord is old, will I now have this pleasure?” Then the Lord said to Abraham, “Why did Sarah laugh and say, ‘Will I really have a child, now that I am old?’ Is anything too hard for the Lord? I will return to you at the appointed time next year, and Sarah will have a son.”
  9. Luke 1:7, 13-15
But they were childless because Elizabeth was not able to conceive, and they were both very old. But the angel said to him: “Do not be afraid, Zechariah; your prayer has been heard. Your wife Elizabeth will bear you a son, and you are to call him John. He will be a joy and delight to you, and many will rejoice because of his birth, for he will be great in the sight of the Lord. He is never to take wine or other fermented drink, and he will be filled with the Holy Spirit even before he is born.
  10. Psalm 37:4
Take delight in the Lord, and He will give you the desires of your heart.
  11. John 16:22-24
So with you: Now is your time of grief, but I will see you again and you will rejoice, and no one will take away your joy. In that day you will no longer ask Me anything. Very truly I tell you, My Father will give you whatever you ask in My name. Until now you have not asked for anything in My name. Ask and you will receive, and your joy will be complete.
  12. Psalm 119:49-50
Remember your word to your servant, for You have given me hope. My comfort in my suffering is this: Your promise preserves my life.
  13. Hebrews 10:35-36
So do not throw away your confidence; it will be richly rewarded. You need to persevere so that when you have done the will of God, you will receive what He has promised.
  14. Hebrews 11:1
Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.
  15. 2 Thessalonians 1:11
With this in mind, we constantly pray for you, that our God may make you worthy of His calling, and that by His power He may bring to fruition your every desire for goodness and your every deed prompted by faith.

12 Ways to Reconnect With Your Erring Spouse (Guess Blogger)

Good Morning, I would like to introduce to you Sarah:

My name is Sarah Ishaku. I set up this blog purposely to provide helpful advice and resources for women who are desiring to build strong marriage relationships. After being married for close to 3 decades, I can testify that a strong marriage relationship not just happen; it takes a woman who draws her strength from Christ to build it.

https://www.thewomanworth.com/12-ways-to-reconnect-with-your-erring-spouse/

Are you almost giving up on your spouse? Do you wish you would have known his person before answering yes I do? Maybe you have already labelled your marriage as a failure because you think your spouse can never change. Perhaps you have made all effort to make him behave as you expect but your effort is not making any impact on him. I understand how unresponsive emotions can be in such kind of a relationship. It can be frustrating trying to connect with someone whose attitude irritates you.
We all cherish a relationship where a partner does what you want, but in most cases, we do not get it our own way. What do we do when the situation is not as we expected; should we refrain from the relationship? I don’t think so, there must be a way out, and that is what I want to share with you in this post.
So, this is the way out:
A. Facts You need to know about a man.

photo-nic-co-uk-nic-224385-unsplash-700x4671. Know that a man hates to be confronted by his wife.
Your spouse may be doing the wrong thing but he wouldn’t like you to challenge him. He already knows and doesn’t want you to confirm it for him. He would try to be on the defensive side so that you do not intimidate him.
2. Know that too much of complaining makes a man hardened.

When you complain a lot about his attitude, he may want to indulge in it more, to prove to you that he cannot be intimidated by your actions. So he would want to prove that he is a man.
3 Know that men tend to ignore the problem in a marriage.
A man would prefer to be somewhere to find comfort than face the problem in his marriage. He would rather dodge the problem than stand and face it. Check it, how many men go for marriage counselling on their own without their wives pushing them?
A man will always show that he is in charge of the affairs of the family.
No matter your effort to make things work for the family, a man would not want you to take the glory. He wants you to accredit it to him. Failure to do that amounts to a conflict of interest which may push him farther away from you.

A man tends to focus more on work, money, and sports.
A man cherishes his work, money and sports. Usually these three things may take his attention off from you at a point in time. If you try to force yourself on him ahead of those three things it may result in disagreement, and he may accuse you of being dominant.
B. Ways you can Make Positive Change on Your Spouse.

alvin-mahmudov-627291-unsplash-700x467

Accept the fact that every human being has limitation.
For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.Rom.3:23 If we claim we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not us.1 John1:8 When you understand that we all have limitations, you would not easily judge your spouse’s failures. You would appreciate the fact that you are likely to make mistakes also. We are only declared righteous by what Christ did for us; it is not our own effort. Instead of judging your spouse, pray for him.
Instead of dwelling on his negative side, dwell more on his positive side.
No matter how bad a person is, he must have his good side. So, appreciate his good qualities and ask God for wisdom to help him overcome the negative side.
Don’t just complain about everything.

Instead of complaining about everything out of annoyance, let him know clearly the attitude in him that irritates you. While you do that, you must do it with respect. Approach him in the right way and at the right time. For example, if your husband drinks, don’t wait until he is drunk before you complain about it. Instead, talk to him when he is calm, and in a good mood, and respectfully tell him about the effects of his attitude on your married relationship.
4. Have confidence in your spouse
Let your husband know you believe in him. Don’t relegate him to a low status simply because he is failing in some of his responsibilities. No matter the shortcoming of a man, he wants his wife to believe in his capabilities.
5. Accept him.
Accept your spouse for who he is without conditions. If you fail to accept him, he would always go to where he feels relevant. We all want to be accepted by the people around us, every person wants to be relevant.
6. Allow Christ to have control over your life.
Learn to depend on Jesus in everything you do, and stop depending on your emotions. Jesus is the prince of peace; if you remain in him, you would enjoy his peace that surpasses the one you expect from your husband.
7. Take prayer seriously.
Be a woman of prayer; never relent in your prayers. Take time to pray for yourself, and your spouse. By this, God will make His grace available to you, and you will be surprised how great an impact you would make in the life of your spouse. The changes may not be automatic, but gradually they will manifest.
Above all, no matter how you feel, always remember that God loves you, and He means well for you. Imagine God giving His only begotten Son to die in your place so that in him you might have a life. If God can do that for you, what else would He deny you? Surely, He will grant you peace and a loving relationship with your spouse.
Remain blessed.

God’s Greatest Story of Grace (Guess Blogger)

I hope you are having a lovely day. I am extremely excited to be having a sweet sister in Christ share a beautiful blog post with you.  A little about Crystal:

Hi, I’m Crystal, I am wife to husband Michael, mother to 3 growing kids- Anna, Grace &

When I am not at home taking care of my family you will most often find me at my church. There I serve in AWANA as a leader and I am happy to help with anything else that needs to be done. I will join our ladies Bible study group as often as I can. I love to be able to dig into Scripture and share it with friends.

God’s Word is my greatest passion. I studied Theology (Bible) at Dallas Christian College where I had the best professors (I am a little partial) who not only taught me about the Bible but because of them, I fell in love with God’s Word. I enjoy drawing and painting when I can squeeze it in. When you mix a Bible student with an artist you get me, many of my recent paintings reflect whatever I was studying at the time. I am enjoying this because when I show my paintings I am then able to share my passion, God’s word.

God’s greatest story of grace the story of Salvation.

The Gospel is the most amazing story of love that you will ever find. It is simple enough for a child to understand and so that is how I am going to talk about it today. Not that you are a child but there is no point in making complicated what is simple.

God made everything, including you and me. In fact, we are God’s beloved creation made in His very image. He loves us deeper and wider then we can ever imagine.

The Bible is the story of His great love for us from Genesis to Revelation.

In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth – Genesis 1:1

You are worthy, our Lord and God to receive glory and honor and power for you created all things, and by your will they were created and have their being  -Revelation 4:11

no matter who you are you can see that this is an imperfect world. It is imperfect because of something the Bible calls sin; because of this sin we are separated from God because of sin we deserve to go to hell and be separated from God for eternity.

for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God  -Romans 3:23

For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord  -Romans 6:23

God loves us so much the He sent Jesus.

Jesus was born of a virgin, a miraculous conception and the only way He could be born sinless.

Jesus did many signs and taught while He walked this earth proving that He is God.

He Chose the Nails

He chose the nails – for me & for you

He was betrayed by one of His closest friends. This was allowed so that He might be our perfect sacrifice taking the punishment we deserve for our sin.

Jesus was beaten and hung on a cross though He was the only one who has ever been and will ever be sinless.

After He died this horrible death, His body was then taken and placed in a nearby tomb, guarded by Roman soldiers. But just 3 days later something amazing happened, the tomb was opened reviling it was empty!

He is not Here!

He is not Here

Jesus had done what He said he would and rose from the dead!

He defeated the power of sin and death… He made away for us to be free and now able to join Him in heaven one day. There is nothing we can ever do to be good enough or pay for our own sin it is only through the shed blood of Jesus that we are forgiven.

For God so love the world that He gave his one and only Son, that whosoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life  -John 3:16

But God demonstrates his own love for us in this; While we were still sinners, Christ died for us – Romans 5:8

For by grace you have been saved, through faith and this is not from yourselves, it is a gift of God – not of works, so that no one can bost. -Ephesians 2:8-9

All we must do is believe and accept His free gift of eternal life.

Jesus answered, “I am the way and the Truth and the Life. No one comes to the Father except through me”. -John 14:6

If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. -Romans 10:9

Gospel - ABCsYou may have grown up in church or maybe you have never walked through the doors of one it doesn’t matter, God loves you! He made away for you to live with Him eternally in Heaven.

I will ask you this one question; has there ever been a time when you have accepted this free gift of salvation from your sin?

If you have and know without a doubt that you are saved, great!

But, if do not know of a time that you have done that then allow me a minute here to explain how you can do just that.

You can simply pray,

God, I admit I am a sinner and I deserve to go to hell for my sin,
I believe that you sent Jesus and that He paid the price for my sin.
I chose today to accept the gift of salvation you have offered me
and want to live with you forever in Heaven.
Please forgive my sin, come into my life and change me,
teach me to follow you for the rest of my life.

in Jesus name Amen

If you have prayed this for the first time I encourage you to find someone you know is a Christian or just walk in the doors of a church, go tell someone.

I promise you there is nothing that will bring them greater joy then you sharing this. I would love to hear from you too!

I told you it is not complicated simple enough even a child can understand and yet it is the greatest story of grace ever told. God loved us so much that He made a way to save us from our own sin and now He offers us the gift of salvation.

I was a young girl when I accepted this gift. I will share my story of salvation next time.

Be sure to check out Crystal’s blog.

Keeping Faith

Romans 4.pngTherefore, the promise comes by faith, so that it may be by grace and may be guaranteed to all Abraham’s off-spring-not only to those who are of the law but also to those who have the faith of Abraham. He is the father of us all. As it is written: I have made you a father of many nations. He is our father in the sight of God, in whom he believed-the God who gives life to the dead and calls into being things that were not. Against all hope, Abraham in hope believed and so became the father of many nations, just as it had been said to him. So shall your offspring be. Without weakening in his faith, he faced the fact that his body was as good as dead-since he was about a hundred years old-and that Sarah’s womb was also dead. Yet he did not waver through unbelief, regarding the promise of God, but was strengthened in his faith and gave glory to God, being fully persuaded that God had power to do what he had promised.        Romans 4:10-21

It is always quiet easy to have faith when things are going our way and everything seems to being smelling like a rose. But, the question to you is this! how is your faith when life seems to be falling down all around you. No matter how hard you maybe trying, at times things seems to go from bad to worst and that is when your faith or even mine is being tested. As we read above in the book of Romans, we read about Abraham a man of great faith, he truly believed that God would do for him what he had promise, which is for him and his wife Sarah to become parents even being quiet old, and that he would become the father of many nations, and Abraham believe and it came to past. What is faith, faith is believing in God, trusting him for he knows what is best for all of his children. To have great faith like Abraham or any of the prophets we need to practice at it each and everyday. The different ways to practice that faith is to continue to study the Word of God, having a prayer life with our Creator, and being a part of a community of other believers.  When things become hard for you and even for me our faith can with stand the test of faith, and knowing that God will give us the strength to continue to move forward in our faith journey.

Grace and Peace to You My Friends

You Have Gifs & Talents

Romans 12a.jpgThe book of Romans was written by the Apostle Paul it is widely regarded as Paul’s most carefully considered, rhetorically sophisticated and theologically important writing, composed near the end of his ministry and containing his mature reflections on the Christian faith. In Chapter 12 3-8 Paul talks about the humble service in the body of Christ and all are given gifts and talents in serving Christ. (3) For by the grace given me I say to every one of you: Do not think of yourself more highly than you ought, but rather think of yourself with sober judgement, in accordance with the faith God has distributed to each of you. For just as each of us has one body with many members, and these members do not all have the same function, so in Christ, we, through many, form one body. and each member belongs to all the others. We have different gifs, according to the grace given to each of us. If your gift is prophesying, then prophesy in accordance with your faith. If it is serving, then serve; if it is teaching, then teach, . If it is to encourage, then give encouragements, if it is giving, then give generously; if it is to lead, do it diligently, if it is to show mercy do it cheerfully.

All of God’s children have many gifts and talents in which he has given to you. There maybe some who feels that they are not smart enough, pretty enough, I am handicap in one way or another God can’t use me? Can He? I am here to tell you all it takes is to have a willing heart to serve him. You need to found out first what are your gifts, what is your passion in life? Do you like to write, send a note of encouragement to a friend, you may never know what they are going thru, however a cheerful note maybe just the thing that they needed at that time. If someone needs a prayer, then pray with them, you don’t need fancy words in doing so, just speak from your heart that is all God’s is looking for. What about a hug, anyone can do that, believe me at times that is all someone may need is a hug and a smile. Help out your church where there maybe a need, what about your local food pantry, or by serving a meal. At the one church where I served when we had our free monthly dinners for our community we would have this gentleman who did serve from his wheelchair, and even children serve that meal as well. There is never any kind of an excuse any of us can truly use to be able to help our fellow man or woman, and in the end you will be the one being bless. So friends what about you, what is your passion?

Palm Sunday

Psalm Sunday.pngJesus Come to Jerusalem as King                                             ( Matthew 21:1-11) NIV Bible

As they approached Jerusalem and came to Bethpage on Mount of Olives, Jesus sent two disciples, saying to them, “Go to the village ahead of you, and at once you will find a donkey tied there, with her colt by her. Untie them and bring them to me. If anyone says anything to you, say that the Lord needs them, and he will send them right away. This took place to fulfill what was spoken through the prophet: Say to Daughter Zion, See, your king comes to you, gentle and riding on a donkey, and on a colt, the foal of a donkey.” ( Isaiah 62:11) The disciples went and did as Jesus had instructed them. They brought the donkey and the colt, and placed their cloaks on them for Jesus to sit on. A very large crowd spread their cloaks on the road, while others cut braches from the trees and spread them on the road. The crowds that went ahead of him and those that followed shouted. ” Hosanna, to the Son of David!” “Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord!” ” Hosanna in the highest heaven!” When Jesus entered Jerusalem, the whole city was stirred and ask, ” Who is this?” The crowds answered, “This is Jesus, the prophet from Nazareth in Galilee.”

The significance of Jesus triumphant entry into Jerusalem comes from the prophecy stated in Zechariah 9:9 (The coming of Zion’s King)” See, your king comes to you righteous and victorious lowly riding on a donkey.” The symbolism of the donkey may refer to the Easter tradition that it is an animal of peace, verses the horse, which is the animal of war. Jesus entry into Jerusalem thus symbolized his entry as the Prince of Peace, not as a war-waging king. However, the people who greeted Jesus were not greeting him as the spiritual leader who would take away the sins of the world, but as a potential political leader who would overthrow the Romans.

Christian congregations around the world begin this day with Palms in their hands and waving and singing or saying ” Hosanna, Hosanna, Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord, shouting louder, and louder. This day is the beginning of the week known to us as Christians Holy Week, so much happens during this week more than two thousands years ago. Were the people back then truly happy to see Jesus, the man who preach on love, who healed the blind, raised the dead, turn water into wine, fed more than 5,000 with two fishes and five loaves, or was it that they were just caught up in the moment. Just like so many of us today we get caught up with movie stars, musicians, with politicians, thinking that any of these could fill the void we seems to have deep within ourselves. For the Jews the people of Jesus’ time they believe that Jesus came to perhaps start a revolution however they didn’t understand the reason he did come into this world. Jesus came into a world that is full of sin, hatred, lust, a world that worship idol’s, people who would murder someone else. Why, have you ever ask this question, let us look no further that the gospel of John 3:16 & 17  “For God so loved the world that he sent his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. The reason that Jesus came into this world of sin was to take our place on the cross and to be a living sacrificed for all of mankind. Jesus loves YOU that much to spread his arms out and die for You and for me. Our sins put him on that cross, but his L-O-V-E for all mankind kept him there to die for us. Let me ask you a question if you love someone so much such as a child, any family member, friend, would you allow them to die in your place? Your answer like me would be are you NUTS of course I wouldn’t give up any of my children to die for me, and yet that is what God did for YOU, he sent his one and only Son Jesus to died for you and me.

My friend if you don’t have a close walk with the Lord, with this man called Jesus, would you like to. Right now bow your head and repeat these words, Jesus I ask you to come into my heart and become my personal Savior in my own life. I don’t know you yet, but Lord I want to get to know you, will you walk with me thru my own life. Jesus I know I am a sinner and I have heard that you have come into this world to die for me, and no one has ever loved me that much to do that, and I thank you for taken my place. Come and change me from the inside out.

Amen

You my friend has prayed a sinner prayer, you are a Christian, a follower of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, and to begin your journey look around your hometown  for a church, this is the perfect season to do so. If you don’t have a Bible you can pick one up in places like Wal-Mart, K-Mart, or even a Christian bookstore. I have read different ones, and the one I use everyday is called New International Version, or you can down load the Bible on your computer or I-phone or even a tablet, their are many ways to have a copy of God’s word. Start to read the New Testament beginning with the Gospel of Matthew, and get to know Jesus on a personal level, spend sometime with him during your day, Jesus has been waiting to talk with you my friend.

Grace and Peace to all of you my friends
