Put Your Hope In God

Isaiah 49.png We have this hope is an anchor for the soul, firm and secure. it enters the inner sanctuary behind the curtain, where Jesus, who went before us, has entered on our behalf. He has become a high priest forever.                    Hebrews 6:19

Jesus Christ is our Risen Lord and Savior. Through his resurrection we have been born again to an ever-lasting hope. It is vital for you to remain hopeful, no matter what is going on in your life. People put their hope in a variety of things such as wealth, power, health, medical treatments, but these are all insufficient. When storms break upon your life, you can find only one adequate source of help-which is Christ! The hope that he can provide is an anchor for our soul, firm and secure even in the most tempestuous waters. A good way to remain anchored in him is to whisper as often as needed. “Jesus, You are my Hope” This affirmation strengthens you and keeps you connected to him.

We need to stay connected in scriptures and in our own prayer life to continue to journey daily with Christ. There is no limits of what he can do for us and his is constantly working on our behalf to draw us closer to him. He is able to transform us all gradually, lovingly. As we read in the book of Isaiah 49:23b Then you will know that I am the Lord, those who hope in me will not be disappointed.

Praised honored, blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ the Messiah! By His boundless mercy we have been born again to an ever-living hope, through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.                           1 Peter 1:3

Storms

Psalm 107.jpgThen they cried out to the Lord in their trouble, and be brought them out of their distress. He stilled the storm to a whisper, the waves of the sea were hushed. They were glad when it grew calm, and he guided them to their desired haven. Let them give thanks to the Lord unfailing love, and his wonderful deeds for mankind. Let them exalt him in the assembly of the people and praise him in the council of the elders.   Psalm 107:28-32

There are so many times that the storms that we go thru are so very hard, they weight us down with worries, and at times cause emotional pain. Even when we share those problems with someone we called a friend it really doesn’t make us feel any better, all we can seem to say they just don’t understand what you are going thru, and too many times all they can do is simply judge us for any decision we have made. We look up to the heavens and ask God why must I endure these hard times, why can’t life be a little bit more easy to go thru, do you hear me God? do you care or even understand what I am dealing with right now? Once we seem to go thru with being angry at God for any difficult times you need to know that you can laid them all down to God in prayer. Even though there is no relief in sight, your trouble are actually light from an eternal perspective. Your problems feel so heavy because you have given them too much power. Each time you focus on them and forget about Jesus, you empower them a bit more. Jesus wants you and me to put all of our life troubles down long enough to view the vast expanse of Life that is spread out before you, all the way into eternity! Our problems feels like a big wave ready to crash down onto our world, but when we give all of the problems that we are carrying inside of us to Jesus, he calms those storms to give us his peace. The book of Psalm is filled with all the emotions that we seem to go thru each and everyday of our own lives, and once we go thru these difficult emotions we can begin to Praise our Lord thru the storms in our lives, because what I can tell each and everyone who reads these post is that Jesus does care what we go thru, he understands all the emotions we go thru as well, all we need to do is to bring them all to him so that he can calm all the storms we carry in our lives, and we do not need to.

“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened and I will give you rest”

Praise the Lord

Habakkuk.1As I had my time alone with God I once again came across the book of Habakkuk which is in the Old Testament, where this book ends with Habakkuk’s prayer of praise. Through the fig tree does not bud and there are no grapes on the vines, through the olive crop fails and the fields produce no food, through there are no sheep in the pen and no cattle in the stalls, yet I will rejoice in God my Savior.                    Habakkuk 3:17-18

To Praise our God, the God of Creation the Great I Am during the difficulties that we are facing is never an easy thing to do, however, it is the only right thing to do. You probably saying to yourselves boy is this person a little crazy. When I go thru many storms I try to do this one thing to Turn My Eyes Upon Jesus, look full in his wonderful face, and the things of earth will grow strangely dim in the light of his glory and grace. During my own storms in life when I stop and sing or say these words the focus immediately goes to Jesus and not the problems. I remember how much I am loved, how I am a child of the Most High King, and remember the words that the Apostle Paul had written in the book of Ephesians 2:4-5 But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions–it is by grace you have been saved.
