Record My Misery, Oh My God!

Psalm 56,.pngBe merciful to me, my God for my enemies are in hot pursuit, all day long they press their attack. My adversaries pursue me all day long, in their pride many attacking me. When I am afraid, I put my trust in you. In God whose word I praise–in God I trust and am not afraid. What can mere mortals do to me? All day long they twist my words; all their schemes are for my ruin. They conspire, they lurk, they watch my steps, hoping to take my life. Because of their wickedness do not let them escape; in your anger, God bring the nations down. Record my misery; list my tears on your scroll—are they not in your record? Then my enemies will turn back when I call for help. By this I will know that God is for me. In God, whose word I praise, in the Lord, those word I praise–What can man do to me? I am under vows to you my God; I will present my thank offerings to you. For you have delivered me from death and my feet from stumbling, that I may walk before God in the light of my life.                                                 Psalm 56

There are many times in your life I am sure, as well as in my that we cry ourselves to sleep because of some kind of physical or emotional pain deep within our spirit. We begin to wonder God are you out there somewhere, why does my heart cry out in pain, doesn’t anyone understand, and believe me at times we simply don’t understand it all. We are in the grief period of time in our lives and we seek for some compassion and understanding from you, Oh God. If we are still and Know that I am God (Psalm 46:10) we can hear that no matter what trials you or I are enduring, we can count on God’s love and his compassion to get us through. God can bring good out of everything he allows in our life, but much of what he can do is far beyond our understanding. When adversity strikes, we tend to feel as if God displeased with us. We just don’t realize that God most devoted followers are especially targeted in spiritual warfare. The devil and his demonic underlings delight in tormenting those who lives close to the Risen Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. When we are going through times of suffering and afflictions. and our troubles seem endless, we need to remember that Jesus is tenderly present in our afflictions. Instead of lamenting the way things are search for Jesus in the wreckage of adversity. You or I will not fail to find the Master when we do search for him with our whole hearts.

Who’s Your Dad?

Hebrews 10.pngThe Apostle Paul wrote in the book of Hebrews 10:32-37  Remember those earlier days after you had received the light, when you endured in a great conflict full of suffering. Sometimes you were publicly exposed to insult and persecution; at other times you stood side by side with those who were so treated. you suffered along with those in prison and joyfully accepted the confiscation of your property, because you knew that you yourselves had better and lasting possessions. So do not throw away your confidence, it will be richly rewarded. You need to perseveres so that when you have done the will of God, you will receive what he has promised. For, in just a little while, he who is coming will come and will not delay.

I know as a Christian woman things never seems easy for us and at times we may say is it all worth it in the end! The way others judge us make fun of our live style not knowing at all who is our daddy. I am not saying the man who gave you life along with your mom and of course with the help of God, I am asking you who is your daddy? Why is it then that the ones of this world seem to have less of heartaches at times than people who is of the Christian faith? Let me tell you this, that you and I are in great company with the believers who went before us, their were the apostles, who all died for their beliefs with serving Christ, and even other believers of today, and even Jesus himself was persecuted because he love us all and he was a man without sin.  People around the world go to great lengths to make sure more will hear about the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Who is this man call the Christ let me tell you, He is the Alpha and Omega, the First and the Last. He is and always will be, the Great I Am.  Jesus is the Bread of Life, The Light of the World, He is the Gate to keep true harm away. He is the Good Shepherd, The Resurrection and the Life, He is the Way and the Truth and the Life, Jesus is the True Vine. He is the Creator of us all, He is Holy Trinity, Father, Son and Holy Spirit entwine into one. Jesus took our pain on the cross, and bore our suffering. Pierced for our iniquities, and by his stripes, and I am saying the whipping he took upon his back that broke his flesh for all of mankind. He was led like a lamb to be slaughter and he remind silent by oppression and judgement he was taken away. You need to understand this our world can’t understand him, armies can’t defeat him and death could not hold him. Even in the world of today the schools can’t explain to our children who this “Great I Am” is. The leaders of today, they can try to ignore him but somehow it will creep in once again who this Christ truly is. No matter what anyone could try to even do, you could never and I mean NEVER erase the name of Jesus Christ, for everyone the world thinks could destroy their will be at least one hundred more to continue to tell others the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

As for me I will continue to preach the words of Christ for all to hear: Never will he leave me and Never will he forsake me, when I am depress and feeling lonely his is my comforter, when my pain overwhelms me at times he will help carry my burdens, and he will walk by myside in my journey of life. His love never fails and no sins that I commit or any of my tomorrows will he stop loving me, when I call on His name, their is never a busy signal and he always answer me. Jesus is Yahweh, I Am that I Am, Jehovah, Immanuel, Jesus the Christ, Supreme Being, Creator, Elohim, King of Kings, Lord of Lords, El Roi, the One who sees You, Jehovah Nissi, the One Who Stands Guard Over You, Jehovah Shalom: The One Who Gives you Peace. All consuming fire: The God who is jealous for you. El Elyon: The One Who is the God Most High:, He is my Abba, Father! my daddy. There is nothing that can ever separate me from his love not death, nor life, either angles, nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creations will be able to separate me from the love I have in my Dad! “The Great I Am” He was and is to come into all of creations, and my love for him will never cease in this life or the life I will have in all of eternity when I see him face to face.

So who is Your Dad?

“THE GREAT I AM”

God.pngNow Moses was tending the flock of Jethro his father-in-law, the priest of Midian, and he led the flock to the far side of the wildness and came to Horeb, the mountain of God. There the angel of the Lord appeared to him in the flames of fire within a bush. Moses saw that though the bush was on fire it did not burn up. So Moses thought, I will go over and see this strange sight why the bush does not burn up. When the Lord saw that he had gone over to look, God called to him within the bush, “Moses!” Moses!. (Exodus 3:1-4)

God had a job for Moses to do and of course like most of us even today think that there is no way able to do it. In Moses case here is what he tells God, “Suppose I go to the Israelites and say to them,” The God of your fathers has sent me to you, and they ask me, “What is his name? Then what shall I tell them? God said to Moses, “I AM WHO I AM”. This is what you are to say to the Israelites, “I AM” has sent me to you.” God also said to Moses. Say to the Israelites, The Lord, the God of your fathers-the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac and the God of Jacob has sent me to you. “This is my name forever, the name you shall call me from generation to generation.                     (Exodus 3:13-15)

Even today many still call God “The Great I Am”, The Great Physician, The Great Healer, and so much more to so many. The Apostle Paul suffer very deeply for the gospel, and we do at times experience seemingly unbearable trials. Suffering is not new to God’s people. It has always been a part of God’s story. But we must never forget that no matter how great or small, short or enduring, the strain of suffering, it will never even separate us from the “I AM” or “El-Roi. In fact, when seen through the lens of God’s truth and His character, suffering actually moves us closer to the heart of God. It has divine purpose. Our suffering works in and through us to conform us to the image of God’s Son Jesus Christ and make us more like Him.

The Lord is My Strength

HabakkukYet I will rejoice in the Lord, I will be joyful in God my Savior. The Sovereign Lord is my strength, he makes my feet like the feet of a deer, he enable me to tread on the heights. For the director of music, On my stringed instruments.         (Habakkuk 3:18-19 NIV)

The book of Habakkuk is in the Old Testament, there is not much information of this prophet in the Old Testament. Habakkuk addressed his book to God, and not the people of Judah. In a dialogue with God, he discussed problems of suffering and justice. He could not understand how God could use Judah’s enemies to judge his chosen people. But the book ends with Habakkuk’s prayer of praise.

The prophet Habakkuk sounds a lot like us living  these days at this time. We all seem to question God with all of the whys. Why do people steal, why do someone kills another human being, why is there so much other violence in the world Lord, why is their earthquakes, floods, hurricanes and I know that our list goes on and on, why does some suffer with illness, poverty, so much death that seems all around them, and our pain is so very deep. Believe me when I tell you this, that God hears and I mean hears all of human’s complaints that we have, and even thro we do not understand the following, one that he has give all men and woman this thing called free will, and many times the suffering some go thru is at the hands of someone else, the other thing to realize is that even thro we don’t see our situation changing does not mean that God is ignoring any of his children, this is when we think that God is so far away from it all, is that he is closer than any of us can ever dream or imagine. Habakkuk’s prayer in chapter 3 says the following Lord, I have heard of your fame, I stand in awe of your deeds, Lord, Repeat them in our day, in our time make them known, in wrath remember mercy. God came from Teman, the Holy One from Mount Paran, His glory covered the heavens and his praise filled the earth. His splendor was like the sunrise, rays flashed from his hand, where his power was hidden. Plaque went before him pestilence followed his steps, He stood, and shook the earth, he looked, and made the nations tremble.

I can truly say that we all have gone thru valleys in our own lives for many reasons, however in spite of what we have all gone thru we have a Awesome God. A God who loves all of his children the same, and regardless of our many sins, his love never changes either. For it is when we are in the pit of despair we need to continue to Praise our Lord, and not only when things are going well for us, because it when we are in the bit of despair that we need the Lord the most.

Jesus Sentenced to Be Crucified

loveis15.jpg             He was despised and rejected by mankind, a man of suffering, and familiar with pain. Like one from whom people hide their faces, he was despised, and we held him in low esteem. Surely he took up our pain and bore our suffering, yet we considered by him punishment by God, stricken by him, and afflicted. But he was pierced for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was on him, and by his stripes we are healed. We all, like sheep, have gone astray, each of us has turned to our own way; and the Lord has laid on him the iniquity of us all. He was oppressed and afflicted, yet he did not open his mouth, he was led like a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before its shearers is silent, so he did not open his mouth. By oppression and judgement he was taken away. (I Jesus before Pilate.png                        These were the words from the book of Isaiah Chapter 53:3-8, Isaiah was a prophet hundred of years before Jesus, yet he foretold this event. The most eloquent of the prophets was Isaiah, analyzed the failures of all the nations around him and pointed to a future Messiah who would bring peace to the nation and to the earth. He was a King, the Most High King and yet His Kingdom was not of this earth, His Kingdom is like no other. Therefore God exalted him to the highest place and gave him the name that is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee shall bow in heaven and on earth and under the earth and every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father                                              ( Philippians 2:9-11 )

By His Stripes We Are Healed

by his stripes.pngThe scripture in the New Testament in the gospel of Matthew 27:11-26 as well as Mark 15:1-15  talks about the night in which our Lord and Savior Jesus was be trade by one of his disciples name Judas of Iscariot. Both gospels talk about Jesus being flogged or scourged after Pilate committed him to be crucified. One essential difference between Mark’s version and Matthew’s however, is that Mark suggests the ‘envy’ of the chief priests as being their primary motive is seeing that Jesus be put away. The priests presumed that if the mob could be incited fervently enough to achieve Pilates sanction and/or allowance of scourging, torture, and mockery, the fate of this mysterious and threatening ‘Jesus” would be sealed. In Biblical times, a person condemned to crucifixion was usually first scourged with a whip of leather thongs, typically with bits of metal or bone attached. The scourging tore into the victim’s flesh and greatly weakened him before the victim was subjected to the even greater torture of hanging from a cross. Jesus was scourge forty times minus one by the Roman soldiers. Can you even try to image the pain that Jesus endure for you and me. Have you ever had crack hands or feet, that bleed and the pain was so intense, well I had that happen to me within the last month. With the winter cold  my feet became dry, I never thought about it until one of my heels crack open and bleed, the pain was so bad I had trouble walking on it. At first I couldn’t understand what I had done to it and why the pain was so bad until I went to put some cream on and look at it and then I realize the skin had crack open. The first thing that came to my mine was this, the pain that my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ endure for me, I often wonder why, it is because of his love for me his child.  As you go back to the Old Testament Isaiah foretold what would happen:

Isaiah Chapter 53:1-7

Who has believed our message, and to whom has the arm of the Lord been revealed? He grew up before him like a tender shoot, and like a root out of dry ground. He had no beauty or majesty to attract us to him, nothing in his appearance that we should desire him. He was despised and rejected by mankind, a man of suffering, and familiar with pain. Like one from whom people hide their faces, he was despised, and we held him in low esteem. Surely he took up our pain and bore our suffering, yet we considered him punished by God, stricken by him and afflicted. But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities, the punishment that brought us peace was on him, and by his wounds we are healed. We all, like sheep, have gone astray, each of us has turned to our own way, and the Lord has laid on him the iniquity of us all. He was oppressed and afflicted, yet he did not open his mouth; he was led like a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before its shears is silent, so he did not open his mouth.

My friends if you have ever wonder sometime in your own life if anyone would or could ever love you in spite of your short comings. I am here to tell you Jesus does, you don’t need to be smart enough, rich enough, you don’t need to be short or tall, thin or not, he loves you just the same. Jesus loves you so much because you are his child, just as much as any parent would love their own child, he loves you. All you need to do is to believe that he loves you enough to die on the cross, he was beaten for you and me, a crown of thorns place on his head, he spread out his arms to show all of us how much he loves us, so that one day we all can live with him eternally, and that is good news.

Denied

Rooster.png

Peter asked, “Lord, why can’t I follow you now? I will lay down my life for you. Then Jesus answered, “Will you really lay down your life for me? Very truly I tell you, before the rooster crows, you will deny me three times!                               John 13:37-38

Wow! these are hard words for Peter to hear from Jesus especially after reading Matthew 16:13-16 when Peter declares that Jesus is the Son of the Living God and now to hear that he will deny this same man. However Jesus knew what was about to happen even thro Peter did not. Let’s visit that evening with the disciples, it was after Jesus was arrested, John 18:15-19 Simon Peter and another disciple were following Jesus. Because this disciple was known to the high priest, he went with Jesus into the high priest’s courtyard, but Peter had to wait outside at the door. The other disciple, who was known to the high priest, came back, spoke to the servant girl on duty there and brought Peter in. You aren’t one of this man’s disciples too, are you? she asked Peter. He replied, “I am not.” It was cold, and the servants and officials stood around a fire they had made to keep warm. Peter also was standing with them warming himself.

Second time and Third Time-John 18-25-27 Meanwhile, Simon Peter was still standing there warming himself. So they asked him,” You aren’t one of the disciples too are you? He denied it, saying, “I am not. One of the high priest’s servants, a relative of the man whose ear Peter had cut off, challenged him, “Didn’t I see you with him in the garden? Again Peter denied it, and at that moment a rooster began to crow. And he went outside and wept bitterly.  Matthew 26:69-75                                                                                                      It can be hard to imagine the pain that Peter was feeling inside of himself at that very moment or is it? Haven’t we at one time or another in our own lives disown Jesus ourselves, thinking to ourselves I don’t need you God, I can do it all on my own, but we truly can’t, can we?  Jesus did warned his disciples in John chapter 16:16 In a little while you will see me no more, and than after a little while you will see me.” Yes Jesus was talking in parables once again but his disciples could never imagine what was about to take place to someone they all came to know and love so well was about to be crucified, and that one of their own Judas Iscariot was going to be trade Jesus. This was the very reason that Jesus came into this world to save us from our sins. The prophet Isaiah foretold what would happen.

Isaiah 53:3-5 (NIV)

He was despised and rejected by mankind, a man of suffering, and familiar with pain. Like one from whom people hide their faces, he was despised, and we held him in low esteem. Surely he took up our pain and bore our suffering, yet we considered him punished by God, stricken by him, and afflicted. But he was pierced for our transgressions, the punishment that brought us peace was on him, and by his stripes we are healed.

Jesus love you and I so much that he took our place on the cross, so that we would never be separated from God because of our sins.
