Do Not Lose Heart

2 Corinthians 4.png

Therefore we do not lose heart. Through outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is light, thanks, thankfeternal.                                                     2 Corinthians 4:16-18

You are being transformed into God’s image from Glory to Glory. Trust  His Spirit to do this massive work in you. Yield to his ways, wisdom, and will. When life gets tough, don’t waste those hard circumstances. Instead, ask God to use them to transform you more and more into His likeness, helping you to become your true self. You must be willing to share in Christ sufferings so that you may also share in His Glory.

Though your troubles may seem heavy and endless, they are actually light and momentary, compared to the eternal Glory they are achieving for you. This is why it is reasonable and right to thank God for hard times, to praise him for ongoing troubles. This serves a dual purpose. When you give thanks in the midst of adversity, because of who God is, and for what He has done for you, God is glorified. And your thankfulness helps you make progress in your transformation from Glory to Glory.

Through the Pain I Am Holding On to “I Am”

1Peter 5.pngThe righteous cry out, and the Lord hears them, he delivers them from all their troubles. The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit. The righteous person may have many troubles, but the Lord delivers him from them all, he protects all his bones, not one of them will be broken. Evil will slay the wicked, the foes of the righteous will be condemned. The Lord will rescue his servants, no one who takes refuge in him will be condemned.                    Psalm 34:17-22

There are times in our lives that we cry out in pain to you Lord, and we wonder if you care and if you understand the pain that we as humans must endure while living here on the earth. With broken relationships in one way or another, the loss of a job, our home, and even the loss of someone we have loved so much leaves us here on earth the pain is so overwhelming inside of us and all we long for is that the pain we feel will go away and that we can feel joy once again, and to rejoice you no matter how we maybe feeling deep within our souls.

We need to remind ourselves that you God are high and exalted one whose name is Holy Yet you choose to dwell with people who are contrite and lowly of spirit. You do know how prone to pride that your people are, so you provide a variety of circumstances to humble us. We don not need to look for more ways to become more humble. If we try with all of our might to be lowly of spirit, we are more likely to become proud, or even ridiculous. Instead, we need to be on the lookout for what you are doing in our own lives and yield ourselves to your ways Lord. Our focus should not be on how humble we are but on how we can please you in the present moment.

Through seeking you Lord and opening up to you I shall experience your light that shines upon me and within me. I need to allow these healing rays soak deep into my being, so that you  continue blessing me, it will allow this source of blessings to other people. By letting my humble hurting parts be exposed, I allow your light Jesus to shine through me into others’ lives, even thro my pain in so deep within me. When I experience a divine reversal in my life, I am thrilled to observe how masterfully that you operate in the world. My suffering gains meaning because I know that you can and do bring good out of evil. Ultimately, your plans Lord will not be thwarted, you have the last word, for you are the Alpha and the Omega! Lord your wisdom and you ways I get to see a glimpse of your glory even here on earth. These things in which I do see around me allows me to worship you for who you truly are the “Great I Am”, and I bow before you in worship, I have assurance one again of your unfailing love for me, and I begin to remember the words that are imprinted upon my heart “For I know the plans I have for you declares the Lord, plans not to harm but give me a hope and a future, (Jeremiah 29:11) and as hard it seems to me in understanding I simply just need to “Trust” which has always been a difficult one for me to do at times.

Comfort One Another

2 Corinthians 1.pngPraise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves received from God. For just as we share abundantly in the sufferings of Christ, so also our comfort abounds through Christ. If we are distressed, it is for your comfort and salvation; if we are comforted, it is for your comfort, which produces in your patient endurance of the same sufferings we suffer. And our hope for you is firm, because we know that just as you share in our sufferings, so we also share in our comfort.                            2 Corinthians 1:3-7

Often, shortly after we have been through a difficult situation in our own life, we have found comfort, we meet someone who has to handle a similar situation. It is God who leads us to these people because the comfort that we offer is sincere and they know that we have wrestled with a similar experience ourselves.

In this letter in Corinthians from the Apostle Paul, Paul praises God for using the church of Corinth to “give the same comfort God has given us” What would it take for you to proclaim God as your helper and Deliverer? What would it take for you to look to God alone for the solution to your problems? When you find yourselves or an acquaintance in a difficult situation, approach God’s throne of grace in prayer. Declare boldly to God that you trust in Him alone to deliver you.

In prayer and with gratitude, consider all the ways in which God has comforted you in times of affliction and tell God that you are willing to let Him use you to bring comfort to others.

Prayer: Gracious God, thank you for the comfort you have given me in the past as well as the comfort you will give to me in the future, help me to comfort others in return.

Amen

God Understands Our Pain

Psalm 34.pngThe righteous cry out, and the Lord hears them; he delivers them from all their troubles. The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit. The righteous person may have many troubles; but the Lord delivers him from them all.

Psalm 34:17-19

As I begin to write this blog post it is a difficult one to write and hopefully not too many tears will fall from my eyes. The last few days of 2017 has been a difficult one filled with many emotions that I thought I had bury deep within my soul, and hoping that they all would stay buried but guess what they did not. I received a telephone call from one of my sister and when I picked up my phone I was told too listen what she needed to say. At first I thought it was about her since her health has not been the best, however that was not the news I would received (yes I was happy it wasn’t her) She went on to tell me that she received a call to tell her that our father had died and that he was living in the state of Utah, and his wishes was to be cremated and all of his children had to agree with his wishes. I was dumb founded because my dad had walked out on his family many years ago and none of his children knew why. Our mother died while we all were growing up from cancer and her and our dad were bless with seven children. I can truly say that our mom was the glue of our family and that the family fell apart after her death. I am sure that their were many secrets that our mom kept from us children to protect us. My dad did remarried a year after mom died and had another child, as well as other children from affairs, however we never had enough time to mourn for our mom, since he was engage four months after our mom died. This is how and why I began to write, it was a way for me to cope with my feelings and a way to reach out to God in trying to understand everything. My father had hurt his children in ways that a father shouldn’t of, and I would rather not share them here. However, I was bless to be able to be apart of my best girlfriend’s family as another daughter for them after my father informed me he wish I was never born, I look like my mother, and I was not wanted. I have been searching for years especially God’s word for being accepted for who I am regardless of my past sins, present or even my future sins. The one thing I was always grateful was that my parents raised me and my sibling in a Christian church and I knew God loved ME. Their are many scriptures to remind me and you that no matter what you have gone through in your life, we have a Heavenly Father that loves us for who we are, and his love is unconditional. Praise His Name he does. This is one of the many reasons that I have always been involved in a church and why I am in journey with Christ to become a pastor. You see their are so many people that are broken inside and they just like me need to reminded and reassured how much they are loved by our Creator. And that Jesus Christ can restore our brokenness and change us from the inside out.  Below are some of the scriptures that have help me thru the difficult times and hopefully they will and can help you.

See, I have engraved you on the palms of my hands.          Isaiah 49:16

Through the mountains be shaken and the hills be removed, yet my unfailing love for you will not be shaken nor my covenant of peace be removed, says the Lord, who has compassion on you.                                      Isaiah 54:10

The Lord is near to all who call on him, to all who call on him in truth. Psalm 145:18

Nothing can separate you or me from God’s love. When we trust him as our Savior, he united us with him in eternal matrimony. Many things threaten to rip apart this holy bound-principalities and powers, controlling people, different circumstances-but nothing can succeed not even death. As I read once again in the New Testament in the book of Romans 8:38-39 For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height or depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.  I truly believe these words that the Apostle Paul wrote and which was inspire by God because he has never and will never break a promise to any of his children.

Feeling Broken Inside

Psalm 34 18a.pngThe righteous cry out, and the Lord hears them; he delivers them from all their troubles. The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.

Psalm 34:17-18

It has been a difficult day for so many saying good-bye to someone they love and trying to understand it all. We look to your scriptures Lord for words of comfort as well as one another, and we even look unto the heavens and ask you the great question of why! We truly don’t understand the Master’s plan in everything here on earth however we do ask for strength to move forward in life and the peace that only you can give to us. We know that we live in a fallen world where sin exists however that just doesn’t stop us by trying to understand it all. Words of comfort comes from the prophet Isaiah 40, Have you not known? Have you not heard? The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He does not faint or grow weary, his understanding is unsearchable. He gives power to the faint, and strengthens the powerless. Even youths will faint and be weary, and the young will fall exhausted; but those who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength, they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint.

The words of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, I am the resurrection and the life. Then one who believes in me will live even through they die, and whoever lives by believing in me will never die.                                        John 11:25-26

Dear Lord, the God of us all, your love never ends, when all else fails, you still are God. We pray that you will care for each and everyone who are facing difficult moments in their lives of saying good-bye to their love ones, comfort each one and give them your peace. To all those who doubt, give light, to all those who are weak, give strength. To those who have sinned, show mercy.

In Christ Name I pray

Amen

Joy Comes In The Morning

Psalm 34.jpgThe righteous cry out, and the Lord hears them, he delivers them from all their troubles. The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit. These words from King David reminds me how I cry out to you My Lord. Why has the enemy attack me, persecute me over and over, no matter how I try to walk with you Lord each and everyday, I can heard the hurtful words behind me, and so many things seem to go wrong. All that my soul longs to do, is to serve you my Lord, for when I do serve it brings me such great joy deep within my soul. I am not perfect just a simply woman who longs to please you, who fears you Oh God and not man, but it is the sharp tongue of a human that does so much harm to another. The more that I want to share with others how much you love your children, the more I seem to be under attack, in one way or another, anywhere I turn the attacks continue. In the stillness of the night my heart cries out to you Lord, I just long to walk so closely with you on the path of righteous.

I hear you voice gently and quietly in my heart, that you are my God and that you are with me. You will uphold me with your righteous right hand. Let your words enfold me like a warm blanket, sheltering me from the coldness of fear and dismay. When troubles seems to be staking me, I will grip you hand ever so tightly and stay in communication with you thru my prayers. I will trust and not be afraid, for you Lord are my strength and my shield. Your powerful presence is with me at all times, and I will remember I do not face anything alone. I know somehow you will give me the strength that I need to get thru the day, and your love for me as your child will bring me such wonderful joy and peace. Your righteous hand holds me up in both good and bad times in my life. When things are going well in my life I am unaware of your sustaining presence. When I walk through the valley I shall cling to your my Lord and my Redeemer, the “Great I Am” Your right hand sustains me during these times of affliction, enabling me to keep one foot in front of the other. As I endure different trials in my life, help me to continue to trust you and only you My Lord. Shall you bless me in the midst of a hardship, and I know that you can make all things new again. You shall reach down into the valley of my affliction and you will remind me ever so gentle that “Joy Will Come In the Morning.

Comfort One Another

2 Corinthians 1a.jpgThe Apostle Paul wrote in 2 Corinthians the following letter to the church in Corinth to tell them how pleased he was that the people were sorry for the way they had acted and that they were now trying to live the way God wanted them to. He also defended himself against the accusations, being made by false teachers. Paul tells us in Chapter 1-3-7 Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God. For just as we share abundantly in the sufferings of Christ, so also our comfort abounds through Christ. It we are distressed, it is for your comfort and salvation, if we are comforted, it is for your comfort, which produces in your patient endurance of the same suffer. And our hope for you is firm, because we know that just as you share in our sufferings, so also you share in our comfort.

For the last many days we have watch on our TV, laptop, phone about the hurricane victims, as well as some having families in that area. As we watch it all unfold we see how many people are helping, neighbor helping neighbor, a stranger helping another stranger, it doesn’t matter who it is to help them, all are willing to except the help, it doesn’t matter, their race, skin color, religion or anything else just the help. Isn’t this the way God always expect his children to act and not with all the hatred that some many people seem to have. All of us are created by the same God, who is the Father of compassion and the God who comforts all of his children. It would be a beautiful sight to see if that all of his children can act this way all the time, and not just during a crisis.  One of the best thing any of us can do is to pray for others, pray for their strength to endure all of this, also pray for peace, Jesus tells us Peace I leave with you, my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid. (John 14:27) You maybe thinking to yourself, that is easy to say, and I know how hard that it can be for us at times, this is why we need to have a closer walk with the Risen Lord Jesus Christ. Because during theses difficult times in our lives we can depend on him as well as our scripture reading and more important our prayer life with God. Going thru my own valleys in life the different scriptures comes to my mind to give me the peace I need at that moment, and I also cried out to God, are you listening to me, and the words to the poem:       Footprint in the Sand,

One night I dreamed…
I was walking along the beach with the Lord. Many scenes from my life flashed across the sky. In each scene I noticed footprints in the sand. Sometimes there were two sets of footprints, Other times there was one set of footprints.
This bothered me because I noticed That during the low periods of my life, When I was suffering from anguish, sorrow or defeat, I could see only one set of footprints.
So I said to the Lord, “You promised me Lord, That if I followed you, you would walk with me always. But I have noticed that during the most trying periods of my life There has only been one set of footprints in the sand. Why, when I needed you most, have you not been there for me?”
The Lord replied, “The times when you have seen Only one set of footprints in the sand, is when I carried you.”

During this time God is carrying His children
