Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God, this is your true and proper worship. Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is, his good, pleasing and perfect will. Recently I shared with you about the necessity of submitting to the Holy Spirit. When you lack peace, it’s often because you refuse to accept how God is calling you to respond to Him in faith.
The Lord’s goal is ultimately to teach you how to be unconditionally surrendered to Him in every area of your life because this is when Hie does the truly miraculous work through you. Of course, when you read about the biblical saints, you’ll find that they had as much trouble doing this as we do. It is indeed difficult. But you will also find that it is not only possible, but absolutely blessed when you do so. You are conformed to the image of Jesus, who, yes, became a sacrifice for us, but who is also honored above every other name (Romans 8:29, Philippians 2:5-11)
Therefore, don’t fear submitting to God’s will because of what He might require of you. Instead, surrender your life to the one who is perfect in His stewardship of all things. God has untold blessings waiting for you as you obey Him. Don’t let fear stand in the way of His extraordinary plan for your life.
